The Nantucket Sinks EZApron33-5.5 is the low-apron version of the patented 33" EZApron: a stainless farmhouse sink with a 5.5" apron front that drops into an existing 33" base cabinet. It is meant for cabinets with a shallow fascia above the doors, where a taller apron would not clear, and still gives a single 30" x 16" bowl, 10" deep. A BG3218-C bottom grid and the NS35CD colander drain are included.
Behind the apron, the bowl comes with a rear drain, so the center of the basin stays open for sheet pans, stockpots and a full load of dishes. Nantucket builds it from 16-gauge 304 stainless steel with thick rubber dampening pads to dampen sound and an insulation spray that reduces condensation, and its finishing process helps keep the steel corrosion resistant to rust and oxidation. The brushed satin finish makes daily maintenance a simple rinse.
Three versions share this bowl and differ only in apron height: the EZApron33-5.5 with a 5.5" apron, the EZApron33 with a 7" apron and the EZApron33-9 with a 9" apron. Pick the one whose apron fits the fascia on your cabinet, and the farmhouse look comes without custom carpentry.
Fitting the EZApron33-5.5 in Your Kitchen
Plan the cabinet first. The EZApron33-5.5 measures 32.5" x 21.25" overall. The cabinet needs doors and a fascia panel the apron can rest over, and the cabinet itself supports the sink, with the foam from the packaging filling the void and L-brackets provided for extra stability. There are no faucet holes in the sink, so the faucet is planned separately, either through the countertop or on the wall. Nantucket recommends professional installation. The EZApron installation guide in Resources covers the cutout and mounting.
Pro Series Sizes and Accessories
The EZApron33-5.5 is part of Nantucket's Pro Series, which Nantucket created following the trend for industrial style kitchens in the home, with small radius (SR) or zero radius (ZR) corners on every model and a range that runs from bar and prep bowls to large, deep single bowls. Apron front options include the 24" APRON2420-SR-16, 30" APRON302010-SR-16 and 33" APRON332210-SR-16, the square-cornered APRON332010-16, the APRON332210-DBL-SR double bowl, the patented EZApron30 and EZApron33 models for standard cabinets, and the AP-PS-3221-16 prep station apron.
Caring for the Stainless Steel
Nantucket's care guide for its stainless sinks favors light, frequent cleaning over an occasional heavy scrub: wipe with a soft cloth and a mild cleaner in the direction of the grain, towel dry after use to keep the steel shiny and free of water spots, and lift mineral deposits with vinegar and water. For tougher stains it suggests a mild abrasive such as Bar Keepers Friend, and it asks you to avoid steel wool and bleach, to wipe up salt, vinegar, citrus and other acidic foods promptly, and not to leave steel or cast iron cookware, wet sponges or soap bars sitting in the sink.
In short, the Nantucket Sinks EZApron33-5.5 is a 33" stainless steel farmhouse sink that brings the lowest EZApron33 apron to an existing base cabinet with a shallow fascia.
Features
Fascia Rule: More Than 5.5"
The 5.5" apron needs more than 5.5" between the top of the cabinet and the top of the doors; measure your cabinet front before ordering so the apron clears the doors.
BG3218-C Grid and Colander Drain
The included BG3218-C bottom grid, 29.75" x 15.75" x 1", covers the bowl floor to protect it from scratches, and the NS35CD colander drain catches scraps at the 3.5" opening.
Fits an Existing 33" Base
The patented EZApron design sits on a standard 33" sink base with doors and a fascia panel, so there is no custom apron cabinet to build or buy.
Premium 16-Gauge T-304 Steel
The sink is fabricated from 16-gauge T-304 stainless steel, a premium gauge Nantucket chose for maximum durability in a sink that works every day.
Quieter, Drier Cabinet
Thick rubber dampening pads cut the hollow ring of running water and clattering dishes, and a sprayed insulation layer reduces the condensation that can drip onto items stored in the cabinet.
Easy-Care Brushed Satin
Nantucket says the brushed satin finish makes daily maintenance a simple rinse; the even grain gives a low-glare look, and a towel dry keeps water spots off.
Rear Drain Keeps the Bowl Open
The 3.5" drain sits at the back of the 30" x 16" bowl, which keeps the drain out of the middle of the bowl.

Installation & Care
Installation
This is a patented EZApron sink, designed to install in an existing 33" standard base cabinet instead of a custom apron cabinet. The cabinet must be a framed design with doors and a fascia panel the apron can rest over, and the distance from the top of the cabinet to the top of the doors must be greater than 5.5". The installer taps out the fascia panel, removes any corner brackets, sets the sink so the gap between the apron and the bowl fits over the cabinet front, and fills the void under the sink with the foam from the packaging; L-brackets are provided for extra stability. The cabinet itself is the support, so no frame is built. The countertop is fabricated flush or with the recommended 1/4" overhang and sealed to the rim. No template is included, and Nantucket recommends professional installation. The sink has no faucet holes and needs a standard 3.5" drain at the rear. The EZApron installation guide is in Resources.
Care
Clean the sink often rather than saving it for a heavy scrub: a soft non-abrasive cloth and a mild cleaner, wiped with the direction of the grain, then a towel dry after use to keep it shiny and free of water spots. For tougher stains use a mild abrasive such as Bar Keepers Friend, and remove mineral deposits with vinegar and water. Never use steel wool or bleach, do not leave cleaners in the bowl overnight or wet sponges and soap bars on the steel, wipe up salt, vinegar, citrus and other acidic foods promptly, and do not leave steel or cast iron cookware sitting in the sink.
