Caring for the Fireclay Glaze
Nantucket's fireclay care guide calls fireclay easy and low maintenance: it contains no metal, so it is stain resistant and will not rust. A mild cleaner and a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge handle daily cleaning, a cloth dry prevents spotting in hard water areas, soaking with a little baking soda loosens stuck-on food, and Soft Scrub or a Scotch-Brite sponge takes care of the rare surface stain. A periodic coat of carnauba wax protects the glaze and helps water drain faster.

Installation & Care
Installation
This is a dual-mount fireclay sink: the top edge is finished, so it can be installed undermount or topmount. It fits a 27" minimum base cabinet. Fireclay is heavy and its dimensions are nominal, varying by up to 1/4" from firing, so Nantucket recommends waiting until the actual sink arrives before buying the cabinet or cutting the countertop. The installer reinforces the cabinet and builds a 2x4 support frame so the rim sits flush with the cabinet walls, leaves no less than 3" behind the sink for the faucet, takes the cutout from the actual sink or the provided template, and seals the support frame and rim; a second person is needed to lift the sink. Professional installation per local code is recommended. The sink has no faucet holes and needs two standard 3.5" drains, one at the center of each bowl; tighten the drain by hand so it is not overtightened and does not crack the sink. Care

Nantucket Sinks ships this item by UPS or FedEx from North Kingstown, Rhode Island, usually within 1 to 2 business days of your order. Shipping is free within the lower 48 states on orders of $101 or more (orders under $101 ship for a flat $15); for Alaska or Hawaii, contact us before you order. You'll get tracking by email as soon as it ships.
Inspect the packaging and the product before you sign. Note any damage or shortage on the delivery receipt, then email photos to support@mycleansupplies.com within 48 hours of delivery so the freight claim can be filed. Damage reported after 48 hours can't be claimed.
Unused Nantucket Sinks products in their original packaging can be returned within 21 days of delivery. Ask us for a return authorization before you ship. Returns carry Nantucket Sinks' 25% restocking fee, you pay the return shipping, and the return travels at your risk, so pack it as it arrived. Payment processing fees are not refunded. Installed, used or damaged products, and discontinued models, can't be returned.
Nantucket Sinks backs its fireclay sinks with a 5-year limited warranty: it replaces, at its option, any sink found to have a material defect, and replacement sinks are offered at 50% of the original purchase price. Glaze damage from improper or caustic cleansers, cracks from impact, a farm sink forced into its cutout, and cracks from an over-tightened drain are not covered. The warranty covers residential installations for the original purchaser; installation, labor and transportation costs, and damage from installation, improper cleaning, misuse or neglect, are not covered.
Warranty claims. Email Nantucket Sinks at info@nantucketsinksusa.com with the date and place of purchase and installation, the model number, a description of the defect and photos of it.
