The Nantucket Sinks NS-GSTR36 is a 36" rectangular Glacierstone trough bathroom sink in white that installs as a vessel or an undermount. Its long 34" x 14" basin gives the vanity a contemporary rectangular trough on a 40" minimum cabinet.
Glacierstone is a solid composite: the same color runs all the way through the sink. Nantucket calls it lightweight and easy to maintain. The outside is matte and the inside is a high gloss, which seals the surface and makes cleaning easy, and because the material is solid, the spec sheet notes scratches can be sanded or buffed out instead of being permanent. As a vessel, its guide calls for a dry fit first, at least 5" behind the sink for a deck faucet, a bead of plumbing silicone under the base and a firm press to bond; as an undermount, the Glacierstone trough guide cuts the counter opening 1" larger than the interior dimension each way, runs a silicone bead and props the sink until it sets. Sealant is not included in either case.
Glacierstone is named for its bright white appearance. Nantucket forms these sinks from a high tech composite with solid color throughout, and it points out the practical difference: unlike a surface glaze, which would need reglazing if chipped, Glacierstone can be sanded and buffed back to a smooth surface. Caring for Glacierstone
Care for the Glacierstone trough is simple because the material is solid through. Nantucket's Glacierstone care guide suggests wiping it down with a gentle liquid household cleaner, buffing stubborn stains or light scratches with a Scotch-Brite pad and a powder cleanser in a circular motion, and sanding deeper marks with 100 to 150 grit before finishing with a fine grit. Drain cleaners should be rinsed through the outlet rather than left to sit, and the guide says the material is unlikely to mark below 360°F.

This sink can be installed as a vessel on top of the countertop or as an undermount. Nantucket recommends professional installation. As a vessel, the vessel guide calls for a dry fit first, at least 5" behind the sink for a deck-mounted faucet, a bead of plumbing silicone under the base and a firm press to bond; as an undermount, the Glacierstone trough guide cuts the counter opening 1" larger than the interior dimension each way, runs a silicone bead and props the sink until it sets. Sealant is not included. There are no faucet holes, so the faucet mounts on the counter or wall. The 1.75" rear drain opening takes a drain without overflow, sold separately.
Care
Wipe the sink down with a gentle liquid household cleaner. Glacierstone is solid through, so scratches and stubborn stains can be buffed out without damaging the finish, using the buffing kit Nantucket's care guide and spec sheet describe as supplied with the sink, or a 3M Scotch-Brite pad with a powder cleanser such as Comet or Ajax worked in a circular motion. Deeper scratches or small chips can be sanded with 100 to 150 grit and finished with a fine grit and a Scotch-Brite pad. Rinse drain cleaners through the outlet rather than letting them sit. Nantucket says the material is unlikely to mark below 360°F, but do not rest pans straight from the stove on it.

Nantucket Sinks ships this item by UPS or FedEx from North Kingstown, Rhode Island, usually within 1 to 2 business days of your order. Shipping is free within the lower 48 states on orders of $101 or more (orders under $101 ship for a flat $15); for Alaska or Hawaii, contact us before you order. You'll get tracking by email as soon as it ships.
Inspect the packaging and the product before you sign. Note any damage or shortage on the delivery receipt, then email photos to support@mycleansupplies.com within 48 hours of delivery so the freight claim can be filed. Damage reported after 48 hours can't be claimed.
Unused Nantucket Sinks products in their original packaging can be returned within 21 days of delivery. Ask us for a return authorization before you ship. Returns carry Nantucket Sinks' 25% restocking fee, you pay the return shipping, and the return travels at your risk, so pack it as it arrived. Payment processing fees are not refunded. Installed, used or damaged products, and discontinued models, can't be returned.
Nantucket Sinks warrants its Glacierstone sinks against discoloration and manufacturer defects. Damage from improper treatment, caustic cleaners or heat is not covered. Ask us for the current warranty term before you order. The warranty covers residential installations for the original purchaser; installation, labor and transportation costs, and damage from installation, improper cleaning, misuse or neglect, are not covered.
