It is molded in Italy from genuine fine grade fireclay and glazed in a classic glossy white porcelain enamel that resists scratches and stains, and fireclay itself contains no metal, so it is rust proof. Because fireclay is fired in a kiln, the dimensions are nominal and can vary by up to 1/4". The 1.75" rear drain opening takes a standard drain with overflow, which is not included; Nantucket lists its NS-UDC-OF, NS-UDBN-OF and NS-UDMB-OF umbrella drains as compatible.

Caring for Italian Fireclay
Fireclay is low maintenance: it contains no metal, so Nantucket's care guide calls it stain resistant and rust proof. Clean the Newport sink with a mild cleaner and a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge, rinse, and dry the bowl with a cloth in hard water areas to prevent spotting. Its spec sheet adds one rule, do not clean it with abrasive cleansers, and a periodic coat of carnauba wax protects the porcelain enamel glaze and helps water run off faster.

Care
Fireclay is low maintenance, stain resistant and rust proof, since it contains no metal. Clean with a mild cleaner and a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge, then rinse; in hard water areas, dry the bowl to prevent spotting, and use baking soda to help lift stuck-on residue. Nantucket's spec sheet for the Newport sinks says not to clean them with abrasive cleansers, so skip scouring powders and abrasive pads. A periodic coat of carnauba wax protects the porcelain enamel glaze and helps water run off faster.

Shipping, Returns & Warranty
Nantucket Sinks ships this item by UPS or FedEx from North Kingstown, Rhode Island, usually within 1 to 2 business days of your order. Shipping is free within the lower 48 states on orders of $101 or more (orders under $101 ship for a flat $15); for Alaska or Hawaii, contact us before you order. You'll get tracking by email as soon as it ships.
Inspect the packaging and the product before you sign. Note any damage or shortage on the delivery receipt, then email photos to support@mycleansupplies.com within 48 hours of delivery so the freight claim can be filed. Damage reported after 48 hours can't be claimed.
Unused Nantucket Sinks products in their original packaging can be returned within 21 days of delivery. Ask us for a return authorization before you ship. Returns carry Nantucket Sinks' 25% restocking fee, you pay the return shipping, and the return travels at your risk, so pack it as it arrived. Payment processing fees are not refunded. Installed, used or damaged products, and discontinued models, can't be returned.
Nantucket Sinks backs its fireclay sinks with a 5-year limited warranty: it replaces, at its option, any sink found to have a material defect, and replacement sinks are offered at 50% of the original purchase price. Glaze damage from improper or caustic cleansers, cracks from impact, a farm sink forced into its cutout, and cracks from an over-tightened drain are not covered. The warranty covers residential installations for the original purchaser; installation, labor and transportation costs, and damage from installation, improper cleaning, misuse or neglect, are not covered.
Warranty claims. Email Nantucket Sinks at info@nantucketsinksusa.com with the date and place of purchase and installation, the model number, a description of the defect and photos of it. Nantucket Sinks may inspect the product and the installation before it decides on a replacement or adjustment. Contact us with your order number if you would like help with the claim.
