The Nantucket Sinks Oval Vitreous China Undermount Bathroom Sink comes in 3 versions: 17.125" or 19.25" size and Bisque or White color. Pick your options above to open the exact model, with its own price and details. The details below are for the 17.125", Bisque version.
The Nantucket Sinks UM-15x12-B is a 17.125" bisque vitreous china undermount bathroom sink: an oval in warm bisque, a color Nantucket recommends for a bathroom or powder room with a warm color scheme.
The bowl measures 15.25" x 12" and is 5.5" deep inside a 17.125" x 13.75" x 7" body, and it has an overflow, so it takes a 1.75" vanity drain with overflow. Set below a stone or solid-surface countertop, the rim disappears and water can be wiped from the counter straight into the bowl. Nantucket lists a 21" minimum base cabinet. At 13 lbs it is light and easy to handle during installation.
Vitreous china is a dense, fired ceramic, and Nantucket seals it with a porcelain enamel glaze for a high gloss finish that makes the surface easy to clean and maintain; it is durable and practical for everyday use. Dimensions are nominal, so the countertop opening is marked from the actual sink.
It belongs to Nantucket's Great Point Collection of vitreous china bathroom sinks, named for the Great Point lighthouse on Nantucket, which spans undermount, glazed-bottom and drop-in basins in white and, for several undermount sizes, bisque, so a matching bowl can be found for a powder room or a full vanity.
Planning the Vanity
When planning the vanity, allow a base cabinet of at least 21". The sink has no faucet holes, so the faucet goes on the countertop or the wall, and its drain opening takes a standard 1.75" vanity drain with overflow, sold separately, with Nantucket's umbrella pop-up drains listed for it. Professional installation is recommended, and silicone sealant is not included.
An undermount bowl is fastened below a solid countertop with clips, and Nantucket's guide recommends a 1/4" overhang, which hides the silicone line and lets the counter edge frame the bowl.
Caring for Vitreous China
Vitreous china is the classic bathroom-sink material for good reason: the porcelain enamel glaze is easy to clean and maintain. Rinse and wipe it dry after use, use a soft abrasive cleaner only when needed (strong abrasives can dull the glaze), and keep open acids, bleach and drain cleaners out of the vanity. It is not designed to take heavy objects dropped from height, so set heavier items down gently.
For a bathroom remodel, a powder room or a vanity replacement, the Nantucket Sinks UM-15x12-B is a 17.125" oval vitreous china undermount bathroom sink that keeps daily cleaning simple and fits a standard plumbing setup.
Features
Warm Bisque Oval
The bisque glaze is a soft, warm off-white for warm-toned baths, on a compact 15.25" x 12" oval bowl.
5.5" Deep Bowl
Inside, the bowl is 15.25" x 12" and 5.5" deep, and the sink fits a 21" minimum vanity base cabinet.
Seamless Undermount Edge
Mounted below the countertop, the rim is hidden, so water and crumbs can be wiped straight from the counter into the bowl with no lip to catch dirt.
Glazed Vitreous China
Vitreous china sealed with a porcelain enamel glaze gives a high gloss surface that Nantucket says is easy to clean and maintain, so daily wipe-downs stay quick.
Standard 1.75" Drain
The 1.75" drain opening takes a standard 1.75" vanity drain with overflow, including Nantucket's umbrella pop-up drains listed for it, sold separately; the drain is not included with the sink.
Built-In Overflow
The bowl has an overflow, so it pairs with a 1.75" vanity drain with overflow, such as Nantucket's umbrella pop-up drains with overflow, sold separately.

Installation & Care
Installation
This sink is undermounted below a solid vanity countertop and fits a 21" minimum base cabinet. No template is included, so a custom template is made from the sink. Nantucket's undermount bath guide recommends a 1/4" countertop overhang to hide the silicone; the sink is fastened from below with clips, angled side down, tightened without over-tightening, and silicone sealant is not included. There are no faucet holes, so the faucet mounts on the countertop or wall. The rear 1.75" drain opening takes a standard 1.75" vanity drain with overflow, sold separately. Professional installation is recommended. The undermount installation guide is in Resources.
Care
Rinse the sink and wipe it dry with a soft cloth after use. A soft abrasive cleaner is fine when needed, but strong abrasives can scratch and dull the glaze; Nantucket suggests cleaners such as Soft Scrub, Lysol or Clorox bathroom cleaners, and Bar Keepers Friend or Bon Ami for a rare rust mark or heavy stain. Do not store open containers of acids, bleach, lye or drain cleaner under the sink, and avoid dropping heavy objects into the bowl, which can crack vitreous china.
