The Nantucket Sinks PR6040-BR is a 33" 60/40 low divide double bowl dual-mount granite composite kitchen sink in deep brown with metallic flecks, from the Italian-made Plymouth Collection. A 15.75" x 19.25" main bowl and a 13.5" x 17.125" second bowl separate washing from rinsing, while the 5.25" low divider still lets a roasting pan or sheet tray bridge both sides: a double bowl for families who want both layouts in one sink without giving up big-pan space.
Both bowls are 9.25" deep, and the spec sheet gives the corners a tight 3/8" radius, for a crisp, near-square look that still wipes clean. The drains sit at the rear of the bowls, which keeps them clear of stacked dishes and, as Nantucket notes, leaves more storage space in the cabinet below. Splitting the job this way also uses less water, since only one side needs to be filled.
Like every Plymouth sink, it is designed and made in Italy from a granite composite of 80% natural stone and 20% acrylic polymers. Nantucket rates the material resistant to stains and scratches, with a nonporous surface, able to withstand thermal shock and heat resistant to 560°F, and the stone is naturally sound absorbing, which keeps the clatter of dishes and running water down. Its care guide still asks for a trivet under any pan hotter than 500°F, since a pan straight off a burner can exceed 1000°F.
This is the dual-mount version: it installs as an undermount or a top mount, and the deck carries one pre-drilled center faucet hole, with additional hole pockets on the back of the deck that can be opened if you want more fixtures. It measures 33" x 22" x 9.875", weighs 45 lbs and needs a 36" base cabinet. The PR6040-UM models share the same bowls in an undermount-only body without the faucet deck.
Installing the PR6040-DM
Mounting clips come in the box. Undermounted, the guide asks the fabricator to follow it and local building and plumbing codes, to space the clips evenly around the sink, loosely tighten, adjust and then tighten them, and to cut the counter flush or with a 1/8" to 1/4" overhang; a 1/4" overhang is recommended because it hides the silicone, which is not included. Dropped in, the topmount guide traces the rim, cuts inside the line and seals the cutout with a continuous bead of plumbing silicone, also not included. The drains should be tightened by hand so they do not crack the sink; Nantucket lists the NS35LCC flip-top crumb cup drain and the 3.5EDF-BRS and 3.5EDF-ORB extended flanges.
Nantucket introduces the Plymouth Collection as a new series of granite composite sinks, likening it to a new arrival on a rocky shore from the old world. Every model is crafted in Italy from 80% natural stone in neutral tones, white, black, titanium, brown, truffle and sand across the range, and the line runs from compact bar and prep bowls through large single bowls to low divide double bowls and workstation models with fitted accessories, so a main kitchen sink and a second prep sink can share one material and one color.
Caring for Granite Composite
Day to day, the PR6040-DM sink asks for little: clean it after use with warm water, a liquid detergent and a soft cloth, and wipe tea, coffee and juice up promptly so they do not set. Nantucket's care guide asks you not to cut directly on the surface, to skip harsh abrasives and metal pads, and to keep alcohol, gasoline, acids and solvents away from the stone. In hard water areas, lime build-up comes off by covering the bottom of the bowl with vinegar and water for several hours, then scrubbing with the stiff side of a sponge and rinsing.
For a family that wants a double bowl without losing big-pan space, the PR6040-BR is the Nantucket Sinks 33" granite composite kitchen sink in brown, with a low-divide 60/40 layout, a faucet deck and the freedom to top mount or undermount.
Features
Deep Brown With Flecks
The PR6040-BR is a deep brown with metallic flecking throughout its matte surface, and the flecks give the brown visible depth. It is a warm choice next to wood cabinetry or a warm-toned stone counter.
Matching Brown Plymouth Pieces
Brown is also offered in the PR1716-BR bar sink, the 24" PR2418-BR, the 30" PR3018-BR and the 33" PR3320-BR-UM, so a main sink and a bar, prep or second sink can share one stone and one color across the home.
60/40 Split With a Low Divider
The 15.75" x 19.25" main bowl and 13.5" x 17.125" second bowl divide wash and rinse tasks, and the 5.25" low divider lets sheet pans and large bakeware bridge both sides.
Dual-Mount Flexibility
The same sink can be undermounted below a stone or solid surface counter or dropped in from above with the included mounting clips, so the installation method can follow your countertop.
Rear Drains Free Cabinet Space
Both 3.5" drains sit toward the rear of their bowls, so dishes never cover them and the drain lines stay close to the wall, which Nantucket notes leaves more storage space under the counter.
Uses Less Water
Nantucket points out that a double bowl lets you wash in one side and rinse or dry in the other, so only one bowl needs filling for a sink full of dishes.
80% Natural Stone Composite
Made in Italy from 80% natural stone and 20% acrylic polymers, the composite resists stains and scratches from everyday pots, pans and utensils, with a nonporous surface, so the matte finish keeps its look with normal care.
Heat and Thermal Shock Rated
Nantucket says the material can withstand thermal shocks and temperatures up to 560°F. Its care guide still asks for a trivet under any pan hotter than 500°F and advises avoiding very hot and very cold together.

Installation & Care
Installation
This is a dual-mount sink, so it can go in as an undermount below a solid countertop or drop in from above. Mounting clips are included. Nantucket's installation guide calls for professional installation. As an undermount, the clips are spaced evenly around the sink and the counter is cut flush or with an overhang of 1/8" to 1/4" (1/4" is recommended to hide the silicone). As a drop-in, the countertop opening is traced from the sink and cut inside the rim line, a continuous bead of plumbing silicone goes around the cutout and the clips are tightened until the rim seats; sealant is not included either way. It needs a 36" minimum base cabinet. One faucet hole is pre-drilled at the center of the deck, with extra hole pockets on the back side if more holes are needed. Each bowl has a 3.5" rear drain opening for a standard 3.5" drain, sold separately; tighten the drain by hand, since overtightening can crack the sink.
Care
Clean the sink after each use with warm water, a liquid detergent and a soft cloth, and wipe up tea, coffee and juice promptly. Nantucket's care guide says not to set anything hotter than 500°F on the sink (a pan straight off a burner can exceed 1000°F), so use a trivet or potholder, and avoid thermal shock from very hot and very cold together. Do not cut on the surface, and keep harsh abrasives, metal pads, alcohol, gasoline, acids and solvents off it. For lime build-up, cover the bottom with vinegar and water for several hours, then scrub with the stiff side of a sponge and rinse.
