The Nantucket Sinks Rectangular Italian Fireclay Vessel Bathroom Sink comes in 4 versions: 24" or 35.5" size and 4 colors. Pick your options above to open the exact model, with its own price and details. The details below are for the 35.5", White version.
The Nantucket Sinks Canal35-90 is a 35.5" rectangular Italian fireclay vessel sink in white that moves the bathroom in a new direction: a generous, extra-wide basin that gives a vanity an air of luxurious spaciousness. It suits a large primary bath, a long single vanity, or a statement powder room built around one dramatic sink.
The basin measures 34" x 14.5" and is 7" deep inside a 35.5" x 17.75" x 7.875" sink, a generous, extra-wide basin for everyday washing. Nantucket describes its glaze finish as classic and elegant but also easy to care for, and it notes that because of the firing process the dimensions are nominal and can vary from the listed size by up to 1/4". It takes a 2.5" European-size drain, which is not included, and has no overflow.
Nantucket designs and makes it in Italy from premium fireclay, fired at high temperatures, which the brand says makes it stronger than typical bathroom sinks. Fireclay is non-porous, and the classic, elegant glaze is easy to care for. Dimensions are nominal and may vary by about 1/4".
Because it is a vessel, it sits on top of the vanity, so the countertop only needs a drain hole, and the long, low profile becomes the centerpiece of the room.
Planning a Wide Vanity
At 35.5" wide and 17.75" front to back, the sink needs a vanity top deep and long enough to leave at least 5" behind it for the faucet, which Nantucket's vessel guide asks for. It has no faucet holes, so plan a tall deck faucet or a wall-mount faucet whose spout reaches well into the 34" basin. The drain is the 2.5" European size rather than the 1.75" US vanity size, so order a matching European drain without overflow, and at 66 lbs the sink is set on the counter with plumbing silicone by a professional installer.
Caring for Italian Fireclay
Fireclay is fired at high temperature under a glaze, and it contains no metal, so it will not rust. Clean it regularly with a mild cleaner and a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge, dry it in hard water areas to prevent spotting, loosen stuck-on residue with baking soda, and use Soft Scrub or a Scotch-Brite sponge only for a rare surface mark.
For a primary bath or a long shared vanity that wants one generous, sculptural basin, the Nantucket Sinks Canal35-90 is a 35.5" Italian fireclay vessel sink with an extra-wide 34" basin and simple glazed-fireclay care.
Features
Extra-Wide 34" Basin
The 34" x 14.5" bowl is 7" deep inside a 35.5" sink, an extra-wide basin that Nantucket says gives the vanity an air of luxurious spaciousness.
2.5" European Drain
The sink takes a 2.5" European-size vanity drain rather than the 1.75" US size, so order the matching drain with the sink; it is not included.
Italian Premium Fireclay
Designed and made in Italy from premium fireclay and fired at high temperatures, it is, in Nantucket's words, stronger than typical bathroom sinks.
Non-Porous Glazed Surface
Nantucket notes fireclay is non-porous, so spills sit on the glazed surface and the large basin stays easy to wipe clean.
Low 7.875" Profile
At 7.875" tall with a 7" deep bowl, the vessel keeps a long, low line on the counter instead of towering over it.
No Overflow, Clean Interior
The bowl has no overflow hole, so the glazed interior is one smooth surface and pairs with a 2.5" drain without overflow.

Installation & Care
Installation
This vessel sits on top of the vanity countertop. Following Nantucket's vessel guide, dry fit the bowl, leave at least 5" behind it for the faucet and cut a hole for the drain on center; there are no faucet holes, so use a tall deck faucet or a wall-mount faucet that reaches across the 17.75" depth. A bead of plumbing silicone bonds the base to the counter (sealant not included). The drain is a 2.5" European-size vanity drain without overflow, not included. The sink weighs 66 lbs. Professional installation is recommended. The Vessel installation guide is in Resources.
Care
Clean the fireclay regularly with a mild cleaner and a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge, then rinse; in hard water areas, dry it with a cloth to prevent spotting. Soak stuck-on food to loosen it, using baking soda if needed, and lift a rare surface stain with Soft Scrub or a Scotch-Brite sponge. An occasional coat of carnauba wax adds protection and helps water run off. Fireclay contains no metal, so it will not rust. Fireclay is stain resistant and low maintenance, and the drain should never be over-tightened.
