The Nantucket Sinks SR3018-12-16 is the 12" deep version of the 30" Pro Series small radius undermount sink, sold as a laundry and utility sink as well as a kitchen sink. The single 28" x 16" bowl is deep enough, Nantucket says, to soak dishes, wash some laundry or even bathe a small dog, so it suits a laundry room, mudroom or a kitchen that handles big batch cooking. It fits a 33" base, and the box includes clips, a template, a bottom grid and the NS35CD drain.
Small radius corners give additional space in the bowl and a fresh, modern industrial look, with a slight curve at the base that is easy to wipe out, and channel grooves in the bottom of the sink divert water to the drain for proper drainage. Both versions share a 30" x 18" footprint and a bowl with the drain at the rear, which keeps the plumbing toward the wall and the middle of the bowl clear.
Nantucket fabricates the sink from premium 16-gauge T-304 stainless steel for durability and says its Pro Series sinks are at home in both traditional and modern kitchens. Thick rubber dampening pads quiet running water and dropped utensils, and the underside is sprayed with insulation to reduce condensation inside the cabinet. Nantucket's finishing process helps keep the steel corrosion resistant to rust and oxidation, and the brushed satin finish keeps daily maintenance to a simple rinse.
Fitting the SR3018-12-16 in Your Kitchen
Sizing is straightforward. As an undermount sink it is installed beneath a solid surface countertop such as granite or quartz, and the fabricator can finish the edge flush with the bowl or with the 1/4" overhang Nantucket recommends. There are no faucet holes in the sink, so the faucet is planned separately, either through the countertop or on the wall. Nantucket's installation guide calls for professional installation. The Undermount installation guide in Resources covers the cutout and mounting.
Pro Series Sizes and Accessories
The SR3018-12-16 is part of Nantucket's Pro Series, which Nantucket created following the trend for industrial style kitchens in the home, with small radius (SR) or zero radius (ZR) corners on every model and a range that runs from bar and prep bowls to large, deep single bowls. Deep laundry and utility versions include the 23" SR2318-12-16, the 25" SR2522-12-16 drop-in and the 30" SR3018-12-16. Nantucket offers accessories to complete its Pro Series sinks, and the optional pieces listed for the SR3018-12-16 are the NS35LCC flip-top crumb cup drain, 3.5EDF-BRS extended drain flange and Deluxe Colander 16.
In short, the Nantucket Sinks SR3018-12-16 is a 30" stainless steel undermount kitchen sink that gives the single bowl extra depth for laundry and utility work.
Features
12" Deep Utility Bowl
At 12" deep, 2" more than the 10" SR3018, the bowl gives ample room for soaking, scrubbing and rinsing laundry, buckets and tall pots without splashing the floor.
Clips, Template and Grid Included
Nantucket packs mounting clips, a cutout template, a bottom grid and the NS35CD colander drain in each box, everything the installer needs for a smooth installation.
Channel-Grooved Floor
Grooves pressed into the bottom of the sink divert water to the drain, for proper drainage, as Nantucket describes it, so rinse water is directed to the opening.
Premium 16-Gauge T-304 Steel
The sink is fabricated from 16-gauge T-304 stainless steel, a premium gauge Nantucket chose for maximum durability in a sink that works every day.
Quieter, Drier Cabinet
Thick rubber dampening pads cut the hollow ring of running water and clattering dishes, and a sprayed insulation layer reduces the condensation that can drip onto items stored in the cabinet.
Easy-Care Brushed Satin
Nantucket says the brushed satin finish makes daily maintenance a simple rinse; the even grain gives a low-glare look, and a towel dry keeps water spots off.
Small Radius Corners
Small radius corners keep the crisp lines of a professional sink but leave a slight curve at the base that a sponge can follow, which Nantucket notes makes cleaning easier.

Installation & Care
Installation
This is an undermount sink: it hangs beneath a solid surface countertop such as granite or quartz, which Nantucket specifies for its undermount stainless sinks, and it fits a 33" minimum sink base cabinet. Nantucket's installation guide calls for professional installation; give the countertop fabricator the installation guide and follow local building and plumbing codes. The guide has the fabricator mark the cutout from a template, cut on the inside of the line, and finish the counter flush with the bowl or overhanging it by 1/8" to 1/4"; Nantucket recommends a 1/4" overhang, which gives a clean edge and hides the silicone. Clips are spaced evenly around the sink, set loosely, adjusted, then tightened. Silicone sealant is not included. There are no faucet holes, so the faucet mounts on the countertop, and the sink needs a standard 3.5" drain at the rear. Mounting clips and a cutout template are included with this sink. The Undermount installation guide is in Resources.
Care
Clean the sink often rather than saving it for a heavy scrub: a soft non-abrasive cloth and a mild cleaner, wiped with the direction of the grain, then a towel dry after use to keep it shiny and free of water spots. For tougher stains use a mild abrasive such as Bar Keepers Friend, and remove mineral deposits with vinegar and water. Never use steel wool or bleach, do not leave cleaners in the bowl overnight or wet sponges and soap bars on the steel, wipe up salt, vinegar, citrus and other acidic foods promptly, and do not leave steel or cast iron cookware sitting in the sink.
