The Nantucket Sinks ZR-PS-3220-16 is a 32" Pro Series Prep Station sink with zero radius corners and a single 30" x 16" undermount bowl, 10" deep. Nantucket calls it an expansion of its popular Prep Station range, designed to serve every kitchen task from one spot, and it fits a standard 33" sink base. A deluxe rolling mat, a colander, a bottom grid and the NS35CD colander drain are included.
The tiered ledges are what make it a workstation. Instead of a plain rim, the bowl walls step in at different levels, and Nantucket designs each level so a task happens at a comfortable working height right over the sink. The spec sheet lists interior ledges of 30" x 16" and 30" x 17": the colander fits the 16" ledge to hold and rinse glassware, utensils or produce, and the deluxe rolling mat fits the 17" ledge, where it works as a drying surface for dishes or produce directly over the sink and rolls up to store away.
Below the ledges, the single bowl has room to soak and clean large cookware and bakeware. The floor is beveled around the drain to whisk water away, and the bottom grid stands on rubber feet that protect the basin's shine. The sink is 16-gauge 304 stainless steel in a brushed satin finish, with rubber padding applied for noise reduction and a sprayed insulation that reduces condensation inside the cabinet.
Fitting the ZR-PS-3220-16 in Your Kitchen
Sizing is straightforward. The ZR-PS-3220-16 measures 32" x 20" overall. As an undermount sink it is installed beneath a solid surface countertop such as granite or quartz, and the fabricator can finish the edge flush with the bowl or with the 1/4" overhang Nantucket recommends. There are no faucet holes in the sink, so the faucet is planned separately, either through the countertop or on the wall. The 3.5" drain sits at the rear of the bowl and takes a standard 3.5" kitchen drain. Nantucket's installation guide calls for professional installation. The Undermount installation guide in Resources covers the cutout and mounting.
Pro Series Sizes and Accessories
The ZR-PS-3220-16 is part of Nantucket's Pro Series, which Nantucket created following the trend for industrial style kitchens in the home, with small radius (SR) or zero radius (ZR) corners on every model and a range that runs from bar and prep bowls to large, deep single bowls. Its Prep Station workstation sizes include the 19" SR-PS-1919-16, the 28" SR-PS2-2818-16, the 30" SR-PS-3018-16 and ZR-PS-3018-16, the 32" SR-PS-3220-16, SR-PS-3220-OSD and ZR-PS-3220-16, the double bowl SR-PS-3219-OS-16 and SR-PS-3219-DE-16, the 36" SR-PS-3620-16 and ZR-PS-3620-16, and the 33" AP-PS-3221-16 apron. Nantucket offers accessories to complete its Pro Series sinks, and the optional pieces listed for the ZR-PS-3220-16 are the NS35LCC flip-top crumb cup drain.
In short, the Nantucket Sinks ZR-PS-3220-16 is a 32" stainless steel workstation sink that turns a square-cornered bowl into a workstation with a colander and rolling mat.
Deluxe Rolling Mat Included
The stainless rolling mat lies across the 17" ledge as a drying rack for dishes or produce, with silicone edges that protect surfaces, then rolls up so it is easily stored away.
Square Lines in a 33" Base
At 32" x 20" overall, the zero radius bowl fits a 33" minimum cabinet, bringing sharp commercial styling to a standard sink run without custom cabinetry.
Tiered Accessory Ledges
The bowl walls step in at tiered levels, so each accessory rests at its own height over the water. Rinsing, drying and chopping all happen above the bowl, and scraps drop straight in instead of onto the counter.
Thick 16-Gauge 304 Steel
The sink is fabricated from 16-gauge 304 stainless steel, the premium gauge Nantucket uses across its Pro Series sinks, here in a brushed satin finish.
Beveled Floor Speeds Drainage
The basin floor is beveled around the drain, so rinse water and food debris run off instead of pooling in the corners. Nantucket notes the bevel whisks away water for quicker disposal through the drain.
Quieter, Drier Cabinet
Rubber padding applied to the underside dampens the ring of running water and clattering dishes, and a sprayed insulation layer reduces the condensation that can drip onto items stored below.
Zero Radius Corners
Zero radius corners give the bowl truly square inside corners and straight walls, the sharp architectural look of a commercial kitchen, as Nantucket designs its zero radius Pro Series sinks.
Sold separately: NS35LCC flip-top crumb cup drain.
Installation
This is an undermount sink: it hangs beneath a solid surface countertop such as granite or quartz, which Nantucket specifies for its undermount stainless sinks, and it fits a 33" minimum sink base cabinet. Nantucket's installation guide calls for professional installation; give the countertop fabricator the installation guide and follow local building and plumbing codes. The guide has the fabricator mark the cutout from a template, cut on the inside of the line, and finish the counter flush with the bowl or overhanging it by 1/8" to 1/4"; Nantucket recommends a 1/4" overhang, which gives a clean edge and hides the silicone. Clips are spaced evenly around the sink, set loosely, adjusted, then tightened. Silicone sealant is not included. There are no faucet holes, so the faucet mounts on the countertop, and the sink needs a standard 3.5" drain at the rear. The Undermount installation guide is in Resources.
Care
Clean the sink often rather than saving it for a heavy scrub: a soft non-abrasive cloth and a mild cleaner, wiped with the direction of the grain, then a towel dry after use to keep it shiny and free of water spots. For tougher stains use a mild abrasive such as Bar Keepers Friend, and remove mineral deposits with vinegar and water. Never use steel wool or bleach, do not leave cleaners in the bowl overnight or wet sponges and soap bars on the steel, wipe up salt, vinegar, citrus and other acidic foods promptly, and do not leave steel or cast iron cookware sitting in the sink.
