The Nantucket Sinks ZR3219-OS-16 is a 32" Pro Series offset double bowl undermount sink with zero radius corners: a 16" x 17" main bowl beside a 13" x 17" second bowl, both 10" deep, in a 55/45 split. It is for a cook who wants two working bowls with square, modern lines in a 33" sink base, and it comes with fitted BG3219L and BG3219S bottom grids and NS35CD colander drains.
Nantucket describes it as a contemporary large double bowl offset design with the utility of a 55/45 sink. The larger 16" bowl handles pots, pans and the dish load, while the 13" bowl stays free for rinsing produce, draining pasta or holding clean dishes, so cleanup and prep can run at the same time. Zero radius corners square off both bowls for a crisp, commercial look, and each bowl has a centered drain.
Nantucket fabricates the sink from premium 16-gauge T-304 stainless steel for durability and says its Pro Series sinks are at home in both traditional and modern kitchens. Thick rubber dampening pads quiet running water and dropped utensils, and the underside is sprayed with insulation to reduce condensation inside the cabinet. Nantucket's finishing process helps keep the steel corrosion resistant to rust and oxidation, and the brushed satin finish keeps daily maintenance to a simple rinse.
Fitting the ZR3219-OS-16 in Your Kitchen
Sizing is straightforward. The ZR3219-OS-16 measures 32" x 19" overall. As an undermount sink it is installed beneath a solid surface countertop such as granite or quartz, and the fabricator can finish the edge flush with the bowl or with the 1/4" overhang Nantucket recommends. There are no faucet holes in the sink, so the faucet is planned separately, either through the countertop or on the wall. Nantucket's installation guide calls for professional installation. The Undermount installation guide in Resources covers the cutout and mounting.
Pro Series Sizes and Accessories
The ZR3219-OS-16 is part of Nantucket's Pro Series, which Nantucket created following the trend for industrial style kitchens in the home, with small radius (SR) or zero radius (ZR) corners on every model and a range that runs from bar and prep bowls to large, deep single bowls. Double bowl options include the SR3219-OS-16 low divide, the ZR3219-OS-16 offset and the SR3219-DE-16 equal bowl sinks, alongside the SR-PS-3219-OS-16 and SR-PS-3219-DE-16 Prep Station doubles. Nantucket offers accessories to complete its Pro Series sinks, and the optional pieces listed for the ZR3219-OS-16 are the NS35LCC flip-top crumb cup drain.
Caring for the Stainless Steel
Nantucket's care guide for its stainless sinks favors light, frequent cleaning over an occasional heavy scrub: wipe with a soft cloth and a mild cleaner in the direction of the grain, towel dry after use to keep the steel shiny and free of water spots, and lift mineral deposits with vinegar and water. For tougher stains it suggests a mild abrasive such as Bar Keepers Friend, and it asks you to avoid steel wool and bleach, to wipe up salt, vinegar, citrus and other acidic foods promptly, and not to leave steel or cast iron cookware, wet sponges or soap bars sitting in the sink.
In short, the Nantucket Sinks ZR3219-OS-16 is a 32" stainless steel undermount kitchen sink that gives a 55/45 pair of square-cornered bowls with a fitted grid for each.
55/45 Offset Bowls
The 16" x 17" bowl is large enough for a stockpot while the 13" x 17" bowl is wide enough for a colander, so neither side is too small to be useful.
Fitted Grid for Each Bowl
Two grids are sized to their bowls, the BG3219L for the large side and the BG3219S for the small side, so each floor is covered and protected from scratches.
Premium 16-Gauge T-304 Steel
The sink is fabricated from 16-gauge T-304 stainless steel, a premium gauge Nantucket chose for maximum durability in a sink that works every day.
Quieter, Drier Cabinet
Thick rubber dampening pads cut the hollow ring of running water and clattering dishes, and a sprayed insulation layer reduces the condensation that can drip onto items stored in the cabinet.
Easy-Care Brushed Satin
Nantucket says the brushed satin finish makes daily maintenance a simple rinse; the even grain gives a low-glare look, and a towel dry keeps water spots off.
10" Deep Basin
At 10" deep, the basin easily accommodates dishes, as Nantucket describes it in the sink's long description.
Zero Radius Corners
Square inside corners give both bowls straight walls and the sharp lines of a commercial sink, a look that pairs with flat-panel and modern cabinetry.
Sold separately: NS35LCC flip-top crumb cup drain.
Installation
This is an undermount sink: it hangs beneath a solid surface countertop such as granite or quartz, which Nantucket specifies for its undermount stainless sinks, and it fits a 33" minimum sink base cabinet. Nantucket's installation guide calls for professional installation; give the countertop fabricator the installation guide and follow local building and plumbing codes. The guide has the fabricator mark the cutout from a template, cut on the inside of the line, and finish the counter flush with the bowl or overhanging it by 1/8" to 1/4"; Nantucket recommends a 1/4" overhang, which gives a clean edge and hides the silicone. Clips are spaced evenly around the sink, set loosely, adjusted, then tightened. Silicone sealant is not included. There are no faucet holes, so the faucet mounts on the countertop, and the sink needs two standard 3.5" drains, one at the center of each bowl. The Undermount installation guide is in Resources.
Care
Clean the sink often rather than saving it for a heavy scrub: a soft non-abrasive cloth and a mild cleaner, wiped with the direction of the grain, then a towel dry after use to keep it shiny and free of water spots. For tougher stains use a mild abrasive such as Bar Keepers Friend, and remove mineral deposits with vinegar and water. Never use steel wool or bleach, do not leave cleaners in the bowl overnight or wet sponges and soap bars on the steel, wipe up salt, vinegar, citrus and other acidic foods promptly, and do not leave steel or cast iron cookware sitting in the sink.
