The Nantucket Sinks ZR3322-S-16 is a 33" Pro Series drop-in kitchen sink with zero radius corners: a self-rimming single bowl, 31" x 17.75" and 10" deep, with one centered faucet hole. Nantucket calls it extra roomy, and its 10" deep basin easily accommodates dishes. The BG3017 bottom grid and NS35CD colander drain are included.
Nantucket describes it as a professional style sink with the ease of topmount installation: the self-rimming edge rests on top of the countertop and covers the cut edge. The basin easily takes a full load of dishes, with the drain in the center of the bowl.
Nantucket fabricates the sink from premium 16-gauge T-304 stainless steel for durability and says its Pro Series sinks are at home in both traditional and modern kitchens. Thick rubber dampening pads quiet running water and dropped utensils, and the underside is sprayed with insulation to reduce condensation inside the cabinet. Nantucket's finishing process helps keep the steel corrosion resistant to rust and oxidation, and the brushed satin finish keeps daily maintenance to a simple rinse. Zero radius corners give the bowl square inside corners and a commercial look.
Fitting the ZR3322-S-16 in Your Kitchen
Sizing is straightforward. The ZR3322-S-16 measures 33" x 22" overall. It drops into a countertop cutout over a base cabinet at least 36" wide. The self-rimming edge rests on top of the counter, and sealant is not included. Nantucket recommends professional installation. The Topmount ProSeries installation guide in Resources covers the cutout and mounting.
Pro Series Sizes and Accessories
The ZR3322-S-16 is part of Nantucket's Pro Series, which Nantucket created following the trend for industrial style kitchens in the home, with small radius (SR) or zero radius (ZR) corners on every model and a range that runs from bar and prep bowls to large, deep single bowls. Drop-in Pro Series options include the 25" SR2522-16, the ADA SR2522-5.5-16, the 12" deep SR2522-12-16 and the 33" ZR3322-S-16. Nantucket offers accessories to complete its Pro Series sinks, and the optional pieces listed for the ZR3322-S-16 are the NS35LCC flip-top crumb cup drain.
Caring for the Stainless Steel
Nantucket's care guide for its stainless sinks favors light, frequent cleaning over an occasional heavy scrub: wipe with a soft cloth and a mild cleaner in the direction of the grain, towel dry after use to keep the steel shiny and free of water spots, and lift mineral deposits with vinegar and water. For tougher stains it suggests a mild abrasive such as Bar Keepers Friend, and it asks you to avoid steel wool and bleach, to wipe up salt, vinegar, citrus and other acidic foods promptly, and not to leave steel or cast iron cookware, wet sponges or soap bars sitting in the sink.
In short, the Nantucket Sinks ZR3322-S-16 is a 33" stainless steel drop-in kitchen sink that sets a square-cornered single bowl into the countertop.
31" Extra Roomy Bowl
The 31" x 17.75" single basin is what Nantucket calls extra roomy, and at 33" x 22" overall it fits a 36" minimum cabinet.
One Centered Faucet Hole
Nantucket's sheet lists one faucet hole, and its Pro Series topmount guide has the installer set the sink, then trace and drill the faucet holes.
BG3017 Grid and Colander Drain
The BG3017 bottom grid, 29.75" x 16.875" x 1", protects the bowl floor, and the NS35CD colander drain catches scraps at the 3.5" center drain.
Premium 16-Gauge T-304 Steel
The sink is fabricated from 16-gauge T-304 stainless steel, a premium gauge Nantucket chose for maximum durability in a sink that works every day.
Quieter, Drier Cabinet
Thick rubber dampening pads cut the hollow ring of running water and clattering dishes, and a sprayed insulation layer reduces the condensation that can drip onto items stored in the cabinet.
Easy-Care Brushed Satin
Nantucket says the brushed satin finish makes daily maintenance a simple rinse; the even grain gives a low-glare look, and a towel dry keeps water spots off.
10" Deep Basin
At 10" deep, the basin easily accommodates dishes, as Nantucket describes it in the sink's long description.
Zero Radius Corners
Square inside corners give the 31" bowl straight walls above a bottom beveled toward the drain, the clean look of a commercial kitchen sink.
Sold separately: NS35LCC flip-top crumb cup drain.
Installation
This is a drop-in (topmount, self-rimming) sink for a 36" minimum base cabinet. Nantucket recommends professional installation. Following the Pro Series topmount guide, the template is used for the bowl cutout only; the sink is set in the opening, the male clips are inserted into the female clip fasteners on the sides of the sink, and each clip is tightened against the underside of the countertop until the rim lays flat. Sealant is not included. One faucet hole is pre-cut at the center of the deck, and the sink needs a standard 3.5" drain at the center of the bowl. The Topmount ProSeries installation guide is in Resources.
Care
Clean the sink often rather than saving it for a heavy scrub: a soft non-abrasive cloth and a mild cleaner, wiped with the direction of the grain, then a towel dry after use to keep it shiny and free of water spots. For tougher stains use a mild abrasive such as Bar Keepers Friend, and remove mineral deposits with vinegar and water. Never use steel wool or bleach, do not leave cleaners in the bowl overnight or wet sponges and soap bars on the steel, wipe up salt, vinegar, citrus and other acidic foods promptly, and do not leave steel or cast iron cookware sitting in the sink.
