The 19PG puts nineteen 3mm chisel tip needles behind a pistol grip and lever throttle, so the wrist stays straight while the tool works on vertical steel and walls. At 5.7 lbs and 12.4" long it is short enough to steer with one hand on the grip and one on the barrel.
For crews scaling for hours rather than minutes, the grip spreads the effort better than holding a straight tube, and the 3000 bpm stroke clears rust and loose paint at a steady pace.

Novatek rates the 19PG at 6 cfm (170 lpm) of air, and the tool is meant to run at 90 psi at the inlet. Use a 3/8" bore airline, keep the run to about 50' where you can, and put a filter, regulator and lubricator in the line so the air reaches the tool clean, dry and oiled.
They share the same 19-needle, 3000 bpm stroke and 6 cfm air use. The 19PG pistol grip is more comfortable on vertical and overhead surfaces for long periods; the 19 Inline's straight body reaches into narrower gaps.
The 19PG needle scaler plus a spare 3mm and a spare 2mm needle holder, a spare anvil and return spring, a 1/2" square chisel holder, 3/4" and 1 3/8" cranked chisels and a straight chisel, a 100 pack of 3mm chisel tip needles and a 250 pack of 2mm flat tip needles.
With the air disconnected, loosen the cap head screw and remove the tubes with the needles, holder, anvil and spring. Thread on the 1/2" square chisel holder, tighten the screw, and lock the chisel with a half turn of the knurled collar.
Yes. Put three drops of light machine oil into the air inlet before you start, and run an inline lubricator if you have one. Novatek's manual notes that running its scalers without air preparation could void the warranty.
No. Novatek says the 19PG is not built for explosive atmospheres or for work close to flammable materials, and a steel needle striking steel can spark. Wear hearing and eye protection and a dust mask suited to the coating you are removing.
