The 19PG VSE VRS puts nineteen 3mm chisel tip needles inside a vacuum shroud on a vibration reduced pistol grip body. The needles strike at 3000 blows per minute, the standard 1.5" take-off carries debris to the vacuum, and Novatek publishes 2.76 m/s² of hand-arm vibration.
For abatement crews scaling for hours, dust is pulled away at the needles while less of the impact reaches the hands, and at 6.4 lbs the tool stays manageable on vertical and overhead work.

The VRS body uses vibration dampening so less of the needle impact reaches your hands. Novatek publishes a vibration level of 2.76 m/s² for this tool, which helps when you are scaling for hours at a time.
The 19PG VSE VRS has a standard 1.5" vacuum take-off on the front tube, so it connects to a 1.5" vacuum hose. Pair it with a HEPA vacuum rated for the material you are removing; the shroud only captures what the vacuum can pull away.
Needle changes are tool-less: with the air disconnected, unscrew the front tube assembly (tilt it down so the parts stay inside), lift out the needle holder, replace the needles, and refit the assembly.
The cuffs are the interchangeable nose pieces at the front of the 19PG VSE VRS shroud. The flat cuff is the one for flat or gently curved surfaces; the corner cuff works into inside corners and crevices. Swap them to keep the shroud close to the surface as the work changes.
Novatek rates it at 6 cfm (170 lpm). Run it through a 3/8" airline to the 1/4" NPT inlet, add a few drops of air tool oil at the inlet each day, and keep the supply between 80 and 100 psi, with 90 psi as the working pressure.
No. The shroud and vacuum reduce the dust that escapes at the needles, but you still need the respirator, eye and hearing protection and work practices your job and the coating call for.
