The 28PG VSE VRS keeps the full 28-needle, 2200 bpm stroke of Novatek's standard 28PG inside a vacuum shroud, while the vibration reduced body brings hand-arm vibration down to a published 2.32 m/s². The 1.5" take-off carries the debris to the vacuum.
For crews removing coatings all day under containment, that combination means heavy production without the fatigue a conventional scaler puts into the hands and arms.

Novatek states the 28PG VSE VRS has the same hitting power as its standard 28PG scaler: 28 needles at 2200 bpm. The VRS body dampens what reaches your hands, rated at 2.32 m/s².
The 28PG VSE VRS has a standard 1.5" vacuum take-off on the front tube, so it connects to a 1.5" vacuum hose. Pair it with a HEPA vacuum rated for the material you are removing; the shroud only captures what the vacuum can pull away.
No tools are needed. Disconnect the air, unscrew the front tube assembly while tilting it down so the parts stay in, lift out the needle holder, fit new needles, and screw the assembly back on.
The cuffs are the interchangeable nose pieces at the front of the 28PG VSE VRS shroud. The flat cuff is the one for flat or gently curved surfaces; the corner cuff works into inside corners and crevices. Swap them to keep the shroud close to the surface as the work changes.
Novatek rates it at 8 cfm (226 lpm). Run it through a 3/8" airline to the 1/4" NPT inlet, add a few drops of air tool oil at the inlet each day, and keep the supply between 80 and 100 psi, with 90 psi as the working pressure.
No. The shroud and vacuum reduce the dust that escapes at the needles, but you still need the respirator, eye and hearing protection and work practices your job and the coating call for.
