Air-boosted jet from a tripod

Air-boosted jet from a tripod

The HYDRA mixes compressed air into a water stream to throw a focused jet 100' or more. Water arrives at 110 gpm through a 2" or 2 1/2" hose, air at 100-120 psi through a 3/4" line, and a ball valve on the body tunes the air so the jet stays tight and hard hitting.

Mounted on its tripod with a swiveling head, it lets a crew wash down cargo hold walls from the floor, knocking off residue, flaking paint and debris between cargoes.

Find answers below or contact our support team.

What is the difference between the three kits?

Every kit pairs the HYDRA gun with Novatek's tripod stand. The 2" Kit and 2.5" Kit add a 2" or 2 1/2" water hose coupling to match your water hose, and the Complete Kit includes both couplings.

What air and water supply does it need?

Novatek rates water consumption at 110 gpm at 90 psi and air consumption at 71 cfm at 100-120 psi, through a 3/4" air hose and a 2" or 2 1/2" water hose.

How far does the jet reach?

Novatek states the focused stream reaches heights of 100' or more.

How many people does it take to run?

Two. One operator holds the HYDRA while a second slowly opens the water valve at the pump; the gun must be held whenever the water is on.

How long can the airline be?

Use at least a 3/4" airline with tight couplings and, where possible, keep it to 33' or less. Blow it out before use so debris cannot clog the valve.
