Box filter retainer at the intake

Box filter retainer at the intake

At the intake end of the Novair 2000 Bio, a black retainer frame holds a 4" pleated box filter in front of the V-pack HEPA filter, with a ring filter as the first stage. The HEPA filter itself is held by Novatek's positive lock retaining system.

Pre-filters lift out of the retainer for a quick change while the HEPA filter stays locked and sealed. That keeps the expensive stage protected through long remediation and hospital jobs.

Alarms, lights and an hour meter

Alarms, lights and an hour meter

The Bio carries an audible alarm, a visual light and an hour meter as standard. The alarm and light trip when the pressure gauge reaches 3.0"-3.4" of water column, and the alerts sit on both the side and the back of the machine.

Crews hear or see a loaded filter from either side of a containment, and the hour meter records running time for billing, rentals and filter change schedules.

Two speeds from one 115 V outlet

Two speeds from one 115 V outlet

The Novair 2000 Bio runs a thermally protected 2 hp two-speed motor that moves 2000 cfm on high speed, and it plugs into a standard 115 V circuit with a 15 amp draw.

Run high speed to turn over the air in a work area quickly, then drop to low speed when the job calls for steady airflow through a long shift. Check that the circuit can carry the 15 amp draw before sharing it with other equipment.

Got Questions?

Find answers below or contact our support team.

How is the Novair 2000 Bio different from the standard Novair 2000?

It keeps the 2 hp motor and roto-molded cabinet of the Novair 2000 but adds a positive lock HEPA retaining system, a V-pack HEPA filter, a 4" box filter retainer, audible and visual alarms, an hour meter and a blank transport door for sealing the unit in transit.

How much air does it move?

Novatek rates the Bio at 2000 cfm on high speed. A low setting runs it at reduced airflow for steady running through a long shift.

What power and cord does it need?

It runs on a dedicated 15 amp, 115/120 V circuit. Novatek does not supply an extension cord; it recommends a 12 AWG cord no longer than 25' and never more than 50' from the machine.

When does the filter alarm sound?

The alarm and light trigger when the differential pressure gauge reaches 3.0"-3.4" of water column, which means the filters are loaded or airflow has dropped.

Can the Bio be stacked?

Yes. Like the Novair 2000 it has a caster nest for stacking; Novatek limits stacks to three machines.
