The ANZZI SD-AZ052-01MB is the 47" to 48" x 72" Halberd Series framed sliding shower door in Matte Black. A framed sliding door for a 47" to 48" opening, it rolls on German engineered rollers and seals shut with a magnetic strip. Matte black draws a crisp dark outline around the glass and pairs naturally with black faucets, shower systems and grout lines in a modern or industrial bathroom.
Halberd is ANZZI's framed slider. An eye-catching frame wraps the 1/4" (6 mm) glass for sturdy support, and German engineered free floating rollers carry the door for an effortless opening experience. When it closes, a magnetic watertight seal pulls the door against the frame to keep water inside the shower and off the bathroom floor.
The crystal clear tempered Deco-Glass is made from ANSI certified tempered glass with pre-drilled hardware holes, and ANZZI's dual sided Tsunami Guard coating helps prevent water stains, soap scum and limescale from building up. The framed design is a sturdy, traditional choice for an alcove that sees daily family use.
ANZZI uses a marine grade aluminum alloy frame and zinc hardware, which it rates highly rust resistant, with scratch-resistant RHINO ALLOY certified hardware that protects against minor scratches and chips. The opening can be installed on either the left or the right side.
Measure the finished opening at the top and the bottom before you order: the SD-AZ052-01MB fits openings from 47" to 48" wide and stands 72" tall, with a walk-in opening of 20.375". Because the door slides along the opening, it needs no clearance in front of the shower, which makes it the practical choice beside a vanity, toilet or narrow walkway.
Halberd is offered here in 2 sizes (47" to 48" wide and 59" to 60" wide) and 3 finishes (brushed nickel, polished chrome and matte black), so you can match the glass to your space and your fixtures; the SD-AZ052-01MB is the 47" to 48" door in Matte Black.
The door is sold on its own, so it needs a finished shower base, tub or tiled threshold and finished, plumb walls to mount against. Day to day the glass takes very little work: squeegee or wipe it after the last shower of the day so drops do not dry into spots, and wash it with soap and hot water on a soft cloth when it needs more. Skipping abrasive pads and harsh cleaners protects both the glass coating and the matte black finish.
Halberd suits a tub-to-shower conversion or an alcove shower in a family bathroom where a sturdy framed door is wanted, in polished chrome, brushed nickel or matte black. ANZZI highly recommends professional installation.

Installation & Care
Installation
Fits a finished opening from 47" to 48" wide and 72" tall, installed on a finished threshold between finished walls that are plumb and at right angles. The hardware is reversible for a left or right opening. ANZZI recommends professional installation. ANZZI's specification sheet is in Resources.
Care
ANZZI's care guide says to clean with regular soap and hot water on a non-abrasive cloth or sponge, to test any stronger cleaner on an inconspicuous area first, to rinse every surface completely right after cleaning, and never to let a cleaner soak. Because the Tsunami Guard coating makes water bead and run off, a squeegee or soft-cloth wipe after each shower clears the drops before they dry into spots; skip scouring cleaners, bristle brushes and abrasive sponges, which can scratch the glass and its coating. Wipe the metal hardware dry with a soft cloth and keep ammonia, bleach and acid cleaners off the finish.
