This SteamSpa 10.5 kW steam shower generator turns a sealed shower enclosure of about 105 to 168 ft³ into a home steam room, and it suits a fully loaded steam shower with automatic aromatherapy from two scents, music, lighting and app control.
Everything runs from the wall-mounted touchscreen: tap steam on, and the generator fills and heats its tank, then sends steam into the shower. The room temperature is set with a slide on the screen, an ECO mode caps the room at 122°F, and user presets save each person's time and temperature. A weekly working mode lets you pick the days and start time so the room is warming before you arrive, a real-time clock shows in standby, and a four-digit safety lock keeps the panel locked until the code is entered. The same functions are available from the SteamSpa app over WiFi.
Sized for 105 to 168 ft³ Showers
SteamSpa's sizing chart lists 10.5 kW for cabins from 3' x 5' x 7' (105 ft³) and 3' x 6' x 7' (126 ft³) through 4' x 5' x 7' (140 ft³) and 3' x 7' x 7' (147 ft³) up to 4' x 6' x 7' (168 ft³). SteamSpa adds that it is safe, and even recommended, to choose one size step above what the chart shows. At 10.5 kW the generator suits a larger walk-in shower with room for a bench, and because the steam is produced outside the enclosure, the shower itself only needs its steamheads, a control and a properly sealed enclosure. If the generator will sit more than 10' to 15' from the steam room, SteamSpa recommends going 1 to 2 kW higher to keep the steam flow up.
Audio, Lighting and a Dual Aroma Pump
Sound and light are part of the package: two stereo speakers play music, podcasts or audiobooks from your phone over Bluetooth, and two color therapy lights and a white LED light set the mood or simply light the room. Steam enters the shower through two oil rubbed bronze steamheads in solid steel with an aroma well in each head.
The Deluxe package adds an integrated dual aroma pump with two glass canisters, so two scents can be loaded at once. On the touchscreen you set outlet A or B to release scent for 1 to 9 seconds, then pause for 1 to 10 minutes, for an even fragrance through a long session. SteamSpa includes a starter set of three 10 ml sample oils and two 1000 ml glass bottles, and an external on/off switch outside the enclosure starts or stops the steam.
Teflon Elements, Steel Steamheads, Relief Valve and Tank Drain
The heating elements are Teflon coated, which SteamSpa says resists scale and corrosion and outlasts traditional brass elements. The generator measures 21.06" W x 9.21" D x 15.16" H and holds 330 in³ of water, building steam at 5 psi, and a pressure relief valve opens automatically if the tank pressure ever passes 15 psi. The generator has a hanging groove for wall mounting and must be installed level, so its water level sensor reads correctly.
Power, Plumbing and Placement
Plan the power and plumbing before the walls close. At 10.5 kW the generator draws 44A at 240V single phase on 6 AWG copper wire, with its own breaker and a power disconnect within sight of the unit, and it can sit in a closet behind the shower, a vanity cabinet, the attic or the basement, as long as it stays indoors, dry, protected from freezing and less than 25' from the steam room. The 10.5 kW and 12 kW generators have two steam outlets, and each outlet gets its own steam line to its own steamhead.

Installation & Care
Installation
Electrical: 10.5 kW at 240V single phase draws 44A; run 6 AWG insulated copper wire rated 194°F and 300V on its own breaker, with a power disconnect within sight of the generator and a proper ground. Plumbing: a 1/2" hot or cold supply at 15 to 20 psi through a pressure reducing valve, the inline filter and a quick connect and release fitting, in copper or brass only (no PEX or PVC), with inlet water no hotter than 160°F. Run 3/4" copper or brass steam pipe with curved elbows, sloped so condensation drains back, with no valves and no dips, insulated where it can be touched, and keep it off any wall material not rated to 240°F. Mount the steamheads about 12" above the floor, outlet down and away from any bench, keep the temperature sensor or control off the steamhead wall, seal every pipe and fitting with 100% silicone caulk, and add an exhaust fan outside the steam room. Leave 12" of clearance on both sides and the top of the generator. SteamSpa requires a licensed electrician and a licensed plumber, and the installation manual is in Resources.
Care
Drain the tank after use so minerals do not settle. Replace the inline filter cartridge at least every 6 months, clean the water supply pipes once a year, and have the generator, steamhead, pipes and fittings checked for leaks every year. About every six months, a technician can remove the cover and clean scale off the water level sensor prong. Wipe the steamheads with soapy water and a soft sponge, never with harsh chemicals or abrasive tools, and keep the touchscreen glass free of hard objects; wipe off mist for a clean touch. Children under 16 should not use the steam room, and because SteamSpa generators are not boilers, check with your local inspector before any commercial use.

Inspect the packaging and the product before you sign. Note any damage or shortage on the delivery receipt, then email photos to support@mycleansupplies.com within 48 hours of delivery so the freight claim can be filed. Damage reported after 48 hours can't be claimed.
Unused SteamSpa products in their original packaging can be returned within 21 days of delivery. Ask us for a return authorization before you ship. You pay the return shipping, which for a freight item means the freight cost, and a 20% restocking fee is deducted along with payment processing fees. Installed, used or damaged products and special-order items can't be returned.
SteamSpa warrants the steam generator against defects in materials and workmanship for its lifetime and repairs or replaces it at its option; the controls, steamhead and other accessories are covered for one year from purchase. Register the generator at steamspa.com/register within 90 days of delivery. The warranty requires installation by a licensed professional, an inline water filter whose cartridge is replaced at least every 6 months, and a quick connect and release fitting for maintenance. It covers residential use only, and surface damage must be reported within 5 days of delivery.
