The SteamSpa BKWS2400CH-A is a 24 kW Black Series Wireless Deluxe steam generator package with a wireless control pad with a wall cradle and WiFi app control, plus polished chrome square steamheads. This SteamSpa 24 kW steam shower generator turns a sealed shower enclosure of about 440 to 600 ft³ into a home steam room, and it suits a modern steam shower with square steamheads and a wireless control pad that lives in a wall cradle.
The wireless controller works from anywhere in the room: wake it, press power and the generator fills and heats its tank, then sends steam into the shower. You set the room temperature from 50°F to 130°F and the steam time from 1 to 60 minutes, three user presets (U1, U2 and U3) store each person's favorite session, and the same controller switches the color lights and the Bluetooth music. When the room reaches your temperature the steam stops. The SteamSpa app adds control from your phone over a 2.4 GHz WiFi network.
Sized for 440 to 600 ft³ Steam Rooms
SteamSpa's dual-generator sizing chart lists 24 kW total, its largest size, for an 8' x 10' x 7' cabin and a range of 440 to 600 ft³, and it notes that it is safe, and even recommended, to choose one size step above the chart. Beyond 12 kW, SteamSpa splits the load across two generator units, so this 24 kW package can steam a large multi-person steam room, the top of the dual chart, with each unit on its own dedicated 240V line. If the generator will sit more than 10' to 15' from the steam room, SteamSpa recommends going 1 to 2 kW higher to keep the steam flow up.
Bluetooth Audio and Chroma Lighting
Sound and light are part of the package: two built-in speakers play music, podcasts or audiobooks from your phone over Bluetooth, and two chroma lights and a white LED light set the mood or simply light the room. Steam enters the shower through polished chrome square steamheads with built-in aroma reservoirs.
Teflon Elements, Relief Valve and AutoDrain
The heating elements are Teflon coated, which SteamSpa says resists scale and corrosion and outlasts traditional brass elements. The built-in AutoDrain opens once the timer has ended, or the system has been switched off, and stayed off for 2 hours, then empties the tank so minerals do not sit in standing water. The package pairs two generator units, which share the load of the steam room, and a pressure relief valve opens automatically if the tank pressure ever passes 15 psi. The generator has a hanging groove for wall mounting and must be installed level, so its water level sensor reads correctly.
Power, Plumbing and Placement
Plan the power and plumbing before the walls close. Each of the two generator units needs its own dedicated 240V line and auxiliary breaker, and SteamSpa recommends closely matched units with the highest kW unit as the primary, each with its own automatic drain. The units can sit side by side with 15" between them or stacked with 6" between them, in a closet behind the shower, the attic or the basement, indoors and protected from freezing.
With about 440 to 600 ft³ of steam room in reach and polished chrome square steamheads in the shower, the SteamSpa BKWS2400CH-A gives you a complete 24 kW steam shower package from one brand, ready for a licensed electrician and plumber to install.
Features
24 kW for 440 to 600 ft³
SteamSpa's sizing chart matches 24 kW to a large multi-person steam room, the top of the dual chart of about 440 to 600 ft³, so the generator is matched to the room's volume; SteamSpa says choosing one size up is safe and even recommended.
Wireless Touch Control With Presets
The wireless controller sets 50°F to 130°F and 1 to 60 minutes, stores three user presets and switches the lights and music, and the app adds phone control over WiFi.
Polished Chrome Square Steamheads
Steam enters through polished chrome square steamheads with built-in aroma reservoirs; tighten them by hand and mount them about 12" above the floor with the outlets pointing down, away from the bench.
Built-In AutoDrain
The generator empties its tank automatically after each session, so minerals do not settle in standing water and the heating elements stay cleaner for longer.
Teflon Heating Elements
Teflon-coated elements resist scale and corrosion and, as SteamSpa rates them, withstand high heat far longer than traditional brass elements, so the generator keeps its output.
Automatic Pressure Relief
A pressure relief valve comes in the package and opens automatically when tank pressure passes 15 psi, an added layer of protection for the generator and the home.
Bluetooth Audio
Pair your phone over Bluetooth and play music, podcasts or audiobooks through two built-in speakers in the steam room.
Chroma and LED Lighting
Two chroma lights and a white LED light give you soft mood color during a session and clear white light when you need it.
Two Units, Two Circuits
The 24 kW total is shared by two generator units, each on its own dedicated 240V line and breaker, so no single circuit has to carry the whole load.
Easy, Clean Installation
The wireless control pad removes the need to run a control cable to the shower wall, which SteamSpa notes simplifies the setup and leaves a tidy finish in a tiled enclosure.

Installation & Care
Installation
Electrical: each of the two generator units needs its own dedicated 240V line and auxiliary breaker, with a power disconnect within sight and a proper ground; SteamSpa's single-unit table runs from 19A at 4.5 kW to 50A at 12 kW, so size each circuit to the unit it feeds. Plumbing: a 1/2" hot or cold supply at 15 to 20 psi through a pressure reducing valve, the inline filter and a quick connect and release fitting, in copper or brass only (no PEX or PVC), with inlet water no hotter than 160°F. Run 3/4" copper or brass steam pipe with curved elbows, sloped so condensation drains back, with no valves and no dips, insulated where it can be touched, and keep it off any wall material not rated to 240°F. Mount the steamheads about 12" above the floor, outlet down and away from any bench, keep the temperature sensor or control off the steamhead wall, seal every pipe and fitting with 100% silicone caulk, and add an exhaust fan outside the steam room. Leave 12" of clearance on both sides and the top of the generator. SteamSpa requires a licensed electrician and a licensed plumber, and the installation manual is in Resources.
Care
Let the AutoDrain finish before you switch off the breaker, so the tank is empty. Replace the inline filter cartridge at least every 6 months, clean the water supply pipes once a year, and have the generator, steamhead, pipes and fittings checked for leaks every year. About every six months, a technician can remove the cover and clean scale off the water level sensor prong. Wipe the steamheads with soapy water and a soft sponge, never with harsh chemicals or abrasive tools. Children under 16 should not use the steam room, and because SteamSpa generators are not boilers, check with your local inspector before any commercial use.
