The SteamSpa G-DPAN is a galvanized steel drain pan that sits under a SteamSpa steam generator and catches any water it releases, then carries it away through a 3/4" threaded drain fitting. It is for anyone installing a steam generator in a closet, vanity or attic space, where a leak or a service drain-down would otherwise land on the floor or the ceiling below.
SteamSpa builds the pan to fit its generators. The generator rests on elevating stands inside the pan, so water from the pipes, the safety relief valve area or an unexpected leak collects in the pan and runs to your drain line instead of soaking the surrounding structure.
It earns its place again at service time: when the generator is drained for maintenance or repair, the pan is the receptacle for whatever water is left inside, so the job stays dry. The SteamSpa spec sheet and installation guide give the pan as 26" x 11" with 2" sides.
Where It Fits in the Install
SteamSpa generators go indoors, in a dry, ventilated, non-freezing spot within 25' of the steam room, often a vanity base, closet or utility space. The manual asks for at least 12" of space at both sides and the top of the generator and an area that is easy to clean and convenient for draining, and the drain pan is what makes that spot drainable.
The pan's 3/4" male NPT outlet ties into a drain line that must slope down all the way and end over a waste receptor or outside the building where you can see it, between 6" and 24" above the ground, so a leak shows up instead of hiding in a wall. Pair the G-DPAN with SteamSpa's SSD-STMKIT installation kit to finish the generator's plumbing.

Installation & Care
Installation
Place the G-DPAN on a flat surface suitable for the steam generator and stand the generator on its elevating stands inside the pan; the generator itself must be installed indoors in a dry, non-freezing location. Connect the 3/4" fitting to a drain line run in a continuous downward slope, with nothing obstructing the flow. Terminate the line over a suitable waste receptor or outside the building in an observable spot, at least 6" and no more than 24" above ground, with an air gap at a floor drain of at least twice the discharge pipe's diameter, where it cannot freeze. The plumbing must meet all local and national codes.
Care
Check the pan when the generator is serviced and empty or wipe out any standing water with a cloth; clean it with mild soap and water and avoid abrasive pads or acid cleaners, which can strip the galvanized coating.

SteamSpa ships this item from the SW Corp warehouse by UPS, FedEx or USPS, usually within 1 to 2 business days of your order. Shipping is free within the lower 48 states on orders of $101 or more (orders under $101 ship for a flat $15); for Alaska or Hawaii, contact us before you order. You'll get tracking by email as soon as it ships.
Inspect the packaging and the product before you sign. Note any damage or shortage on the delivery receipt, then email photos to support@mycleansupplies.com within 48 hours of delivery so the freight claim can be filed. Damage reported after 48 hours can't be claimed.
Unused SteamSpa products in their original packaging can be returned within 21 days of delivery. Ask us for a return authorization before you ship. You pay the return shipping, which for a freight item means the freight cost, and a 20% restocking fee is deducted along with payment processing fees. Installed, used or damaged products and special-order items can't be returned.
SteamSpa covers its controls, lights, steamheads, aroma oil pump, drain head, drip pan and other accessories against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from purchase, when installed in the United States or Canada. Coverage is for residential use and requires installation in line with the SteamSpa manual; damage from lightning or power surges, local water conditions, misuse or improper installation is excluded, and surface damage must be reported within 5 days of delivery.
Warranty claims. Call SteamSpa at 1-866-588-8008 or email info@steamspa.com with your proof of purchase and the model number. Register the generator at steamspa.com/register within 90 days of delivery, or the warranty is not active. Contact us with your order number if you would like help with the claim.
