The SteamSpa OAT1050OB-A is a 10.5 kW Oasis Series steam generator package with a wall-mounted touch control panel, plus two oil rubbed bronze steamheads and AutoDrain. This SteamSpa 10.5 kW steam shower generator turns a sealed shower enclosure of about 105 to 168 ft³ into a home steam room, and it suits a homeowner who wants a straightforward, quiet steam shower with a simple touch panel.
A session starts at the touch panel on the shower wall: turn on the water supply valve and the breaker, press power, and the generator fills and heats its tank; SteamSpa's QuickStart technology brings steam within minutes. Set the steam time anywhere from 1 to 60 minutes, save two favorite time and temperature combinations as SET1 and SET2, and recall them with one press. The panel also keeps a real-time clock and switches between °F and °C. The room temperature climbs as the steam comes in, and when it reaches your setting the steam stops, while the dual-tank design keeps the output continuous until then.
Sized for 105 to 168 ft³ Showers
SteamSpa's sizing chart lists 10.5 kW for cabins from 3' x 5' x 7' (105 ft³) and 3' x 6' x 7' (126 ft³) through 4' x 5' x 7' (140 ft³) and 3' x 7' x 7' (147 ft³) up to 4' x 6' x 7' (168 ft³). SteamSpa adds that it is safe, and even recommended, to choose one size step above what the chart shows. At 10.5 kW the generator suits a larger walk-in shower with room for a bench, and because the steam is produced outside the enclosure, the shower itself only needs its steamheads, a control and a properly sealed enclosure.
Built-In Aromatherapy
Steam enters the shower through two oil rubbed bronze steamheads. The integrated scent system disperses fragrance through the steam, and an aroma sample comes in the box so you can try it on day one. A pressure relief valve comes in the package to protect the generator. SteamSpa recommends pairing this package with its SSD-STMKIT Complete Essentials Installation Kit, which gathers a solid brass pressure reducing valve with gauge, a water shut-off valve, a 20" steel flex hose, the unions that form a quick release system and 90 degree elbows for the steam line.
Relief Valve and AutoDrain
On this -A model, AutoDrain opens 30 minutes after the steam shuts off and drains the tank for about 7 minutes, which limits mineral buildup between uses. The generator measures 21.06" W x 9.21" D x 15.16" H and holds 330 in³ of water, building steam at 5 psi, and a pressure relief valve opens automatically if the tank pressure ever passes 15 psi. The generator has a hanging groove for wall mounting and must be installed level, so its water level sensor reads correctly.
Power, Plumbing and Placement
Plan the power and plumbing before the walls close. At 10.5 kW the generator draws 44A at 240V single phase on 6 AWG copper wire, with its own breaker and a power disconnect within sight of the unit, and it can sit in a closet behind the shower, a vanity cabinet, the attic or the basement, as long as it stays indoors, dry, protected from freezing and less than 25' from the steam room. The 10.5 kW and 12 kW generators have two steam outlets, and each outlet gets its own steam line to its own steamhead.
With about 105 to 168 ft³ of steam room in reach and two oil rubbed bronze steamheads in the shower, the SteamSpa OAT1050OB-A gives you a complete 10.5 kW steam shower package from one brand, ready for a licensed electrician and plumber to install.
Features
10.5 kW for 105 to 168 ft³
SteamSpa's sizing chart matches 10.5 kW to a larger walk-in shower with room for a bench of about 105 to 168 ft³, so the generator is matched to the room's volume; SteamSpa says choosing one size up is safe and even recommended.
Touch Panel With Memory
The touch panel sets the steam time from 1 to 60 minutes and saves two favorite settings as SET1 and SET2, so each session starts with one press.
QuickStart Steam
SteamSpa's QuickStart technology brings steam within minutes, and the dual-tank design keeps it flowing continuously, so a session starts with little waiting.
Oil Rubbed Bronze Steamheads
Steam enters through two oil rubbed bronze steamheads; each sits on its own steam line from its own generator outlet, about 12" above the floor, pointing down.
AutoDrain Included
On this -A model, AutoDrain empties the generator tank on its own after each session, which limits mineral buildup and saves you a maintenance step.
Automatic Pressure Relief
A pressure relief valve comes in the package and opens automatically when tank pressure passes 15 psi, an added layer of protection for the generator and the home.
Standard 44A, 240V Circuit
At 10.5 kW the generator runs on a dedicated 44A, 240V single-phase circuit with 6 AWG copper wire, its own breaker and a power disconnect within sight of the unit.
Whisper-Quiet Operation
SteamSpa engineers the Oasis generator for whisper-quiet running, so the generator stays in the background and does not disturb the calm of a steam session.

Installation & Care
Installation
Electrical: 10.5 kW at 240V single phase draws 44A; run 6 AWG insulated copper wire rated 194°F and 300V on its own breaker, with a power disconnect within sight of the generator and a proper ground. Plumbing: a 1/2" hot or cold supply at 15 to 20 psi through a pressure reducing valve, the inline filter and a quick connect and release fitting, in copper or brass only (no PEX or PVC), with inlet water no hotter than 160°F. Run 3/4" copper or brass steam pipe with curved elbows, sloped so condensation drains back, with no valves and no dips, insulated where it can be touched, and keep it off any wall material not rated to 240°F. Mount the steamheads about 12" above the floor, outlet down and away from any bench, keep the temperature sensor or control off the steamhead wall, seal every pipe and fitting with 100% silicone caulk, and add an exhaust fan outside the steam room. Leave 12" of clearance on both sides and the top of the generator. SteamSpa requires a licensed electrician and a licensed plumber, and the installation manual is in Resources.
Care
Let the AutoDrain finish before you switch off the breaker, so the tank is empty. Replace the inline filter cartridge at least every 6 months, clean the water supply pipes once a year, and have the generator, steamhead, pipes and fittings checked for leaks every year. About every six months, a technician can remove the cover and clean scale off the water level sensor prong. Wipe the steamheads with soapy water and a soft sponge, never with harsh chemicals or abrasive tools. Children under 16 should not use the steam room, and because SteamSpa generators are not boilers, check with your local inspector before any commercial use.
