The ANZZI TL-AZ600MPWH is the Nesso macerator pump on its own, the 0.8 HP upflush pumping unit of ANZZI's 1.6 GPF upflush macerating toilet system. It suits a homeowner pairing the pump with a Nesso toilet bought separately, or replacing the pump in an existing basement, pool house or guest suite bathroom that sits below the sewer line, and it is the ANZZI upflush pump to choose when the toilet is already in place.
A Bathroom Below the Sewer Line
An upflush, or macerating, system solves the problem of a basement, pool house, shed or guest suite that sits below the main sewer line or far from it. The Nesso's 0.8 HP motor drives stainless steel cutting blades that reduce waste quickly, then pumps it up to 26' vertically or up to 197' horizontally to the soil stack through a small 1" or 1-1/4" PVC discharge pipe.
The pump moves up to 2000 gallons per hour (33 GPM), and it clears a full toilet flush in about 3 to 5 seconds. It is a multi-fixture unit: alongside one toilet it can take wastewater from a sink, shower or bathtub. A built-in check valve keeps flow one way, a replaceable carbon filter controls odors, and it runs at 45 dB, quieter than daily conversation.
Power, Plumbing and What It Can Pump
The system needs a single-phase 115V, 15 A supply on a GFCI protected receptacle, placed at least 40" in a straight line from a shower or tub. The pump sits on the same level directly behind the toilet, or further away with an optional extension pipe, and must discharge into a minimum 1" sanitary drain, taken above the main sewer level and joined to the soil stack with an approved fitting, preferably a wye.
It is built for human waste, toilet paper and water only, with liquid no hotter than 113°F and a pH of 4 to 10. It is not meant for kitchen waste, dishwashers or washing machines, and wipes, sanitary products, hair and other solid objects must stay out of it.
As the pump-only option it pairs with ANZZI's Nesso toilet, an elongated vitreous china bowl at a 17" ADA comfort height with a soft-close lid and a 1.6 GPF flush, sold as TL-AZ600 or together with this pump as the full kit.
Choosing the pump only configuration, the TL-AZ600MPWH gives you the part of the ANZZI Nesso upflush toilet system you need.
0.8 HP Macerating Motor
Stainless steel cutting blades driven by a 0.8 HP motor reduce solids quickly for effortless pumping.
26' Up, 197' Across
The pump lifts waste up to 26' vertically or moves it up to 197' horizontally.
2000 GPH, 3 to 5 Second Cycle
Rated at 2000 gallons per hour (33 GPM), it clears a full toilet flush in about 3 to 5 seconds.
Multi-Fixture Capacity
Along with one toilet it accepts wastewater from a sink, shower or tub, for versatile bathroom setups.
Check Valve, Carbon Filter, 45 dB
A built-in check valve stops backflow, a replaceable carbon filter controls odors in a closed basement room, and the pump runs at 45 dB, quieter than daily conversation.
GFCI-Protected 115V, 15 A Supply
It needs a single-phase 115V, 15 A supply on a properly grounded, GFCI protected receptacle at least 40" from a shower or tub, wired to your state's electrical code.
Fits Behind the Toilet
The pump sits on the floor directly behind the toilet, or further away with an optional extension pipe, keeping the install compact.
Sold separately: Toilet (Nesso toilet TL-AZ600 or the full kit TL-AZ600MPWHKIT)
Installation
The macerator sits on the same floor level directly behind the toilet (or further away with an optional extension pipe) and discharges through 1" or 1-1/4" PVC, taken above the main sewer level and joined to the soil stack with an approved fitting, preferably a wye, entering a horizontal stack from the top. Electrical: a single-phase 115V, 15 A supply on a receptacle protected by a Ground-Fault Circuit-Interrupter (GFCI), at least 40" in a straight line from a shower or tub; the pump has a grounding conductor and grounding-type plug and must connect only to a properly grounded receptacle. All wiring must follow the National Electrical Code and your state and local electrical and plumbing codes; check with a qualified electrician if you are unsure the receptacle is grounded, and have a damaged cord replaced through ANZZI Customer Service, ideally by a qualified electrician. ANZZI highly recommends a professional if you are not familiar with basic plumbing and electricity, and always disconnect power before installing or servicing.
Care
Clean the vitreous china bowl with mild soap and a soft cloth. The pump needs no maintenance in normal use, but cleaning it out once a year is fine: use lime and scale remover where water is hard, never bleach, and keep water out of the cord opening. For a rarely used system, unplug it, flush detergent into the bowl, wait about five minutes, restore power, flush, then flush again. In a power loss do not use the toilet or connected fixtures; never switch the pump on if it may be frozen.
