Setting Up a 1 ft³ DI Tank

Tucker DI tanks connect with 3/4" brass garden hose fittings: tap supply to the inlet, pure water line to the outlet, with no pumps or power.

Set-up takes minutes. Check your tap water first: DI alone suits water at about 100 ppm TDS or less, or pairs with a Tucker RO in harder areas. The pole kit adds a reel and a Bravo pole.

Virgin DI Resin in a Sealed Bucket

Virgin DI Resin in a Sealed Bucket

Tucker DI tanks are filled with virgin DI resin supplied in a resealable bucket, about 1,600 gallons per 1 ft³ fill at 100 ppm incoming water.

Harder water uses resin faster, so check the TDS meter and keep a spare bucket on hand. Refill through the large-mouth funnel and pack the bed tight with no air gaps.

A Tall Tank for Higher Flow

A Tall Tank for Higher Flow

The 1 ft³ DI tank stands 9" wide x 35" tall and comes with its brass inlet and outlet fittings, a large-mouth funnel, a handheld TDS meter and a roll of thread tape.

Tucker says a tank this size lets you run many gallons per minute through it and still get pure water, where smaller DI tanks need lower flow. Keep the funnel and meter with the tank.

Got Questions?

Find answers below or contact our support team.

Is a DI tank enough for my water?

Tucker DI tanks suit low-TDS areas, and Tucker's ECO kit is for water at 100 ppm TDS or less. In high-TDS areas, pair the tank with a Tucker reverse osmosis system.

How many gallons does a resin fill last?

Tucker estimates about 1,600 gallons per 1 ft³ resin change at 100 ppm incoming water. Harder water uses resin faster.

Does it need a pump or power?

No. Tap pressure pushes water through the resin. Connect the supply hose to the inlet and your pure water line to the outlet.

How do I refill the resin?

Refill with Tucker bulk virgin DI resin, sold in 1 ft³ (20007) buckets. Pack the bed tightly so no water slips around the resin.

Which pole comes with the pole kit?

The DI tank kit with Bravo comes with a Tucker Bravo, which extends to 22'6"; Tucker rates it for lower floors. The 1 ft³ tank kit on its own has no pole.

What warranty applies?

Tucker purification systems carry a 2-year warranty, and Tucker pole sections and clamps carry a lifetime warranty. DI resin is a consumable.
