Tucker 2.5" x 10" Chloramine Killer Catalytic Carbon Filter

What it is

The Tucker 20026-CK 2.5" x 10" Chloramine Killer is a catalytic carbon filter cartridge for pure-water cleaning systems on chloramine-treated water. Catalytic carbon is activated carbon with a modified surface, which lets it drive chemical reactions that conventional carbon does not.

Why chloramines matter

Most municipal water systems now use chloramines instead of free chlorine to control bacteria and reduce trihalomethanes. Chloramines act as a mild oxidant and sharply reduce RO membrane performance and lifetime, so they should be removed before the water reaches the membrane. Tucker says this block protects your RO membrane much more than a standard carbon block.

What it fits

It fits the Tucker Fill N Go and S4 RO/DI systems, and Tucker's catalog lists it as the carbon pre-filter for the Max Output and the Ultimate Residential Skid. The manuals recommend changing it with the sediment filter every 5,000 gallons. Sold individually.

Orders are processed in 1 to 2 business days, and Tucker ships most orders within 2 business days after that from Castle Rock, Colorado, by FedEx Ground, or by LTL freight for items too large for parcel. Inspect the packaging and the product before you sign. Note any damage or shortage on the delivery receipt, then email photos to support@mycleansupplies.com within 48 hours of delivery so the freight claim can be filed. Damage reported after 48 hours can't be claimed.

Unused Tucker equipment in its original packaging can be returned within 21 days of delivery. Ask us for a return authorization before you ship. Returns that aren't due to a defect carry Tucker's 15% restocking fee, you pay the return shipping, the shipping we paid to deliver your order is deducted from the refund, and payment processing fees are not refunded. Opened filters, membranes and resin and special-order items are final sale, and used items and returns damaged in transit back can't be accepted.

Tucker doesn't warrant the 2.5" x 10" Chloramine Killer Catalytic Carbon Filter, because filters, RO membranes, DI resin and other filtration components are consumables. Contact us if it arrives damaged or defective.

Warranty claims. Contact us with your order number, model and photos of the fault. We file the claim with Tucker, who may ask for the part back. Approved replacement parts are free; the shipping on them is not, unless the item arrived defective.
