Each cartridge arrives filled with Tucker's virgin DI resin in a 4" x 21", 4" x 30" or 4" x 40" size. Fresh DI should read 0 ppm TDS, and the reading climbs as the resin is used up.
These are one-time-use cartridges: once output rises above 10 ppm and glass starts to spot, you swap in a new one instead of refilling it. A TDS meter on the outlet tells you when.
The 4" x 21", 4" x 30" and 4" x 40" cartridges fit the matching housings from many manufacturers. The 4" x 30" also fits Tucker's 4060, H2Pro and T-DI systems.
Measure your housing before you order: the 4060 takes the 30" cartridge, not the 40". If you would rather fill your own, Tucker sells empty refillable cartridges in the same three sizes.
Each cartridge carries a label with its part number and an arrow marked to show which way it loads. Tucker's manuals say to seat a DI canister with its black seal on top, nearest the sump head.
Check the arrow before you close the housing. If a new cartridge shows a TDS reading, Tucker notes that manufacturing residue can register on a meter without spotting the glass.

No. Tucker sells these as one-time-use cartridges that you replace when the resin is spent. If you want to refill your own, Tucker offers empty refillable cartridges in the 4" x 21", 4" x 30" and 4" x 40" sizes.
Match the cartridge to your housing size. The 4" x 30" fits Tucker's 4060, H2Pro and T-DI systems, and the 4" x 40" is not the 4060 replacement.
Check the output with a TDS meter. Tucker's manuals say fresh DI reads 0 ppm, and glass can typically be cleaned spot-free with water up to 10 ppm; once the reading passes that, replace the cartridge.
Tucker's manuals say chemical residue from manufacturing can show on a TDS meter but should not spot. Wash a test pane and the reading should clear shortly.
Follow the load-direction arrow on the label. Tucker's manuals say to install a DI canister with the black seal on top, nearest the sump head.
No. Water purified by DI resin is non-potable.
