The Unger Excella Starter Straight Kit 18" (EFHC2) sets up the Unger Excella Floor Cleaning System on a straight pole, for floor care teams who want a bucket free mop that carries its own cleaning solution. The Unger Excella 18" straight starter kit combines the Excella Straight Pole with Actuator (EFPL4), the 18" Excella Mop Pad Holder (EF40B) and the 1 L Excella Bottle (EFBTL), so you fit a pad, fill the bottle and start mopping without a mop bucket.
A Straight Pole With Built In Dispensing
The EFPL4 is an aluminum straight pole in black and green with an integrated liquid dispensing system. The bottle sits at the base of the pole and a liquid dispensing trigger releases cleaning solution onto the floor as you work. A blockage free pulse system precisely dispenses the liquid, and the bottle needs no clogging or flushing routine. With the solution on the tool there is no lifting and carrying of heavy buckets, which cuts out the time spent filling, wheeling and emptying them.
The straight pole is adjustable, so each user can set a comfortable working length, and its straight design and light materials give good control in classrooms, hallways, hotel rooms and offices. Unger lists the Excella telescopic pole range as 45" to 60" (114 to 152 cm). On its own the pole measures 46.4" long and weighs 2.6 lb.
Bottle and Pad Holder
The EFBTL bottle holds 34 oz (1 L), has a filling level measurement guide and a high precision dispensing mechanism and nozzle. It is refillable and fits both the Straight Pole with Actuator (EFPL4) in this kit and the Offset Pole with Actuator (EFPL1).
The EF40B Mop Pad Holder is an 18" aluminum frame weighing 0.8 lb, with a hook and loop face that grips Excella pads. Microfiber pads are not included in the starter kit, so you choose the pad for the job: the Excella Cleaning Pad (EF40M, 20") made of 100% polyester microfiber with a 10mm looped pile, the Excella Finishing Pad (EF40F, 20") for spreading floor finish evenly, or the Excella Restroom Cleaning Pad (EF40R, 20").

It is the straight pole version of the starter kit; the Excella Starter Kit 18" (EFHC1) uses the Offset Pole with Actuator with dual swivel handles instead. To add pads from the start, Unger's Excella Floor Cleaning Straight Kit 18" (EFKT8) pairs the same straight pole and holder with Excella cleaning pads.

Installation & Care
Installation
Attach the EF40B mop pad holder securely to the base of the pole, then press an Excella pad onto the hook and loop face of the holder. To fill the bottle, remove the valve assembly, fill the bottle with cleaning solution, reattach the valve assembly and slide the bottle into position at the base of the Excella pole. Check that the tube is not tangled or pinched at the base of the extension pole. Press the actuator button to apply solution, mop the edges of the room first, then work in an S motion starting in the corner furthest from the door.
Care
After mopping, rinse the interior of the bottle and the valve assembly under warm water. Remove used pads and launder them per the pad's instructions (Excella cleaning and finishing pads are rated for 300 wash cycles). Wipe the pole and holder dry and store the tool hanging or upright.

Inspect the packaging and the product before you sign. Note any damage or shortage on the delivery receipt, then email photos to support@mycleansupplies.com within 48 hours of delivery so the freight claim can be filed. Damage reported after 48 hours can't be claimed.
Unused Unger products in their original packaging can be returned within 21 days of delivery. Ask us for a return authorization before you ship. You pay the return shipping, and a restocking fee of up to 20% may be deducted along with payment processing fees. Used items and special-order items can't be returned.
Unger covers this product with its Limited Lifetime Commercial Warranty for the original purchaser when it is bought from an authorized Unger reseller, as My Clean Supplies is. If the product has a defect in materials or workmanship, Unger will, at its option, replace or refund the product or the defective part free of charge. Unger defines lifetime as the reasonably expected useful life of the product under normal commercial use. Consumable items that need routine replacement, such as squeegee rubber, scraper blades, microfiber cloths, mop pads, resin, filters, membranes and cleaning solution, are not covered.
