The Unger HydroPower Ultra Large Carbon 39' Kit (UNLK5) is a high capacity pure water window cleaning system for crews who take on large jobs and need long reach. The Unger HydroPower Ultra Large Carbon 39' kit combines the HydroPower Ultra large tank (UHP3C) on its cart, filled with three resin packs, with an nLITE Carbon 24K main pole and extension pole, a Gen 2 Angle Adapter, a flagged 11" nLITE Power Brush, a water flow regulator, a DuroFlex hose and a carrying bag.
The Large Three Stage Tank
The UHP3C large tank holds three Ultra Resin Packs: one green pack in the top position and two red packs below it. Tap water passes through all three stages of mixed bed ion exchange resin and leaves free of the minerals that cause spots and streaks, so glass is cleaned with pure water and no harsh chemicals. A built in TDS meter shows water quality in real time, and the resin is due for a change when it reaches 10 ppm. The packs change quickly, and Unger states they deliver 30% more pure water per filling.
Output between changes depends on the hardness of the local water. Unger's production estimate for the three stage tank, based on 39 gal/h and a TDS of 10 as the limit, is more than 1,600 gal in soft water (under 100 TDS), 1,050 to 1,600 gal in medium water (100 to 250 TDS) and 350 to 1,050 gal in hard water (250 to 400 TDS). The tank rides on a cart for portability, measures 39.8" x 21" x 27" and weighs 76.8 lb, built from aluminum and plastic in black and green. It operates up to 116 psi (8 bar) with inflowing water no warmer than 86°F.
Carbon 24K Poles and nLITE Accessories
Carbon 24K is a premium carbon fiber woven at 24,000 fibers per bundle, which Unger rates at 210 GPa resilience, for light handling and high rigidity. The 6 section CF86G main pole extends to 28' and collapses to 5.5', the 2 section CF33G extension adds 10.5', and the carbon nLITE Master/Extension Connection (NLHCC) joins them with internal hose routing. On top, the carbon fiber NGS15 Gen 2 Angle Adapter carries the flagged nLITE Power Brush Complete (NFK28) with 11" of nylon bristles.
The nLITE Water Flow Regulator (NLWVI) sets the flow at the pole so water is not wasted, the green DuroFlex hose (DLS25) brings pure water from the cart, and the nLITE Carrying Bag (NLBAG) keeps the poles together.
Where It Fits
Unger recommends the kit for multi story commercial and residential buildings, for areas with hard water, and for high rise windows, solar panels and other large exterior surfaces. For professionals who want extended reach and a large resin capacity in one cart based setup, the Unger HydroPower Ultra Large Carbon 39' kit is ready for full days of pure water cleaning.
Large Tank on a Cart
The UHP3C tank holds three resin packs and rides on a cart. It suits large cleaning tasks and moves easily around the site.
Three Stage Resin Capacity
One green and two red Ultra Resin Packs stack inside the tank. In soft water Unger estimates more than 1,600 gal between changes.
30% More Pure Water per Filling
The Ultra Resin Packs change quickly. Unger states they deliver 30% more pure water per filling.
Built In TDS Meter
Real time readings show the water quality going to the glass. Change the resin at 10 ppm.
Carbon 24K Main and Extension Poles
The CF86G main pole and CF33G extension are woven at 24,000 fibers per bundle. They are light to handle and highly rigid for precise control.
Water Flow Regulator
The nLITE Water Flow Regulator sets the flow at the pole. It keeps water use efficient and reduces waste.
Gen 2 Adapter and 11" Brush
The NGS15 Gen 2 Angle Adapter holds the flagged NFK28 Power Brush. Its 11" of nylon bristles scrub as pure water rinses.
Chemical Free Cleaning
Pure water cleans glass without harsh chemicals. It works on commercial and residential buildings alike.
Installation
Check that the green pack sits in the top position over the two red packs. Connect the DuroFlex hose to the Water OUT connection and the tap water supply to the Water IN connection, open the supply, and hold the yellow lever down with Water OUT open to bleed trapped air. Do not exceed 116 psi (8 bar). Join the CF33G extension to the CF86G main pole with the NLHCC connection, fit the NGS15 adapter and NFK28 brush, and set the flow with the NLWVI regulator.
Care
Change the resin when the TDS meter reads 10 ppm, refilling with one green pack on top and two red packs (UHPR3). Use only drinking (tap) water no warmer than 86°F, keep the tank away from heat sources and direct sunlight, and protect it from frost. Turn off the water supply when not in use, secure the cart in the vehicle for transport, and store the poles in the carrying bag.

Unger was founded in 1964 by Henry Unger, a working window cleaner who set out to make the tools commercial cleaners use every day easier, more efficient and safer to work with. Unger Enterprises, LLC runs its US business from Bridgeport, Connecticut, and its professional range covers outdoor and indoor window cleaning, pure water window cleaning systems, dusting and high access cleaning, floor care and mopping, restroom cleaning and litter removal tools.
The Large Carbon 39' Kit is the large tank member of Unger's Generation 2 nLITE kits, alongside the HydroPower Ultra Advanced 39' Kit with the small tank, the HydroPower Ultra Entry Kit 20' and the HydroPower Ultra PowerPad Starter Kit. Refill packs come as HydroPower Ultra Resin Packs (UHPR3 for the large tank). The HydroPower Ultra 16K Entry Kits, the nLITE Carbon 16K Starter Kits and the HydroPower Nano Complete Pro 39' and 55' Kits complete the range.
This is the UHP3C large tank on the cart that comes with the kit, 39.8" x 21" x 27" and 76.8 lb.
Inside, one green and two red Ultra Resin Packs treat the water in three stages, and the TDS meter shows when they need changing.
The NFK28 brush has 11" of flagged nylon bristles that scrub the glass while pure water flows through the head.
It mounts to the poles through the carbon fiber NGS15 Gen 2 Angle Adapter.
Here the CF86G main pole is being extended, six Carbon 24K sections that reach 28' and collapse to 5.5'.
The CF33G extension joins it through the NLHCC connection, with the hose routed inside.
