The Unger HydroPower Ultra (UHP01 small tank, UHP03 large tank, UHP3C large tank with cart) is a deionization pure water system for professional window cleaners. The Unger HydroPower Ultra pure water tank turns ordinary tap water into zero TDS water that rinses glass and dries to a streak free finish without chemicals, feeding a waterfed wash pole and brush from the ground.
How Deionization Cleans Glass
Tap water carries dissolved minerals, measured as TDS (total dissolved solids) in parts per million, and those minerals are what leave spots behind when glass dries. Inside the HydroPower Ultra, water passes through mixed bed DI resin and the ion exchange process removes them. Water is considered pure at 0 ppm. You scrub with the brush, rinse with the same pure water and let the glass dry.
The system runs on plumbing line pressure, so there is no electricity or external power supply to manage. Tap water enters the lower port, flows upward through the resin and leaves as pure water through the top connection to the pole hose. Flow drops noticeably when line pressure falls below 44 psi (3 bar), and the maximum operating pressure is 116 psi (8 bar). Run off does not have to be remediated and is safe for plants and animals.
FloWater Technology and KeyLock Resin Packs
FloWater Technology spreads the water evenly through the resin, which improves resin performance and extends its life. The resin itself comes in pre measured Ultra Resin Packs, factory filled with the precise amount of mixed bed DI resin. KeyLock Resin Bags only seat the correct way, preventing leaks. The small tank takes one green pack; the large tank with cart takes one green pack in the top position and two red packs in the middle and bottom positions, a three stage setup.
The FastLock opening has a self locking mechanism and a yellow lever that releases tank pressure before the top cap comes off, so resin changes are quick and safe. An integrated TDS meter shows water quality in real time: 0 means the system is producing pure water, and when it reaches 10 ppm the resin is due for replacement.
Small Tank, Large Tank or Cart
Output between resin changes depends on how hard the local water is. Unger's production estimate puts the single stage UHP01 at more than 500 gallons in soft water (under 100 TDS) and 100 to 350 gallons in hard water (250 to 400 TDS). The three stage UHP3C produces more than 1,600 gallons in soft water and 350 to 1,050 gallons in hard water. Testing your site water first tells you which size suits your route.
The small tank measures 14" x 13.1" x 12.3" and weighs 21.9 lb, a compact unit that travels easily in a van and stores in a small space. The large tank is 12.5" x 13.1" x 30" at 49.9 lb, and the cart version is 39.8" x 21" x 27" at 76.8 lb, putting the high capacity three stage unit on its own cart. All three are aluminum and plastic in black and green.
Typical work includes windows on low rise buildings and homes, storefront glass and small commercial premises, interior partitions and windows in offices, and spot free vehicle washing and solar panel cleaning. Installation & Care
Installation
Set the system upright on a stable spot. Attach the waterfed pole hose to the Water OUT connection, thread the on/off valve onto a garden hose and attach it to the Water IN connection at the base, with all valves open while filling. Hold down the yellow lever with the discharge line open to purge trapped air, then check the TDS meter reads 000. Leave enough slack in the pole tubing, since hard tugging can tip the unit over. Do not exceed 116 psi (8 bar) or 86°F water, and never use loose resin.
Care
Replace resin when the TDS meter reads 10 ppm: shut off the supply, press the yellow FastLock lever to release pressure, steady the base with your feet and remove the top cap, then seat new Ultra Resin Packs with the rubber handle facing up. Never put a red pack in the small tank. Protect the system from frost, store spare resin in labeled packaging in a cool, dry place (15°F to 100°F) and dispose of spent resin per local regulations. Wash and rinse glass from top to bottom.

Unused Unger products in their original packaging can be returned within 21 days of delivery. Ask us for a return authorization before you ship. You pay the return shipping, and a restocking fee of up to 20% may be deducted along with payment processing fees. Used items and special-order items can't be returned.
Unger covers this product with its Limited Lifetime Commercial Warranty for the original purchaser when it is bought from an authorized Unger reseller, as My Clean Supplies is. If the product has a defect in materials or workmanship, Unger will, at its option, replace or refund the product or the defective part free of charge. Unger defines lifetime as the reasonably expected useful life of the product under normal commercial use. Consumable items that need routine replacement, such as squeegee rubber, scraper blades, microfiber cloths, mop pads, resin, filters, membranes and cleaning solution, are not covered.
