Body heat gives a person away where a flashlight would not, and the Scout Pro picks that up at ranges to 500 meters with no ambient light at all. A 640 by 480 sensor running at 30 Hz keeps the image smooth while you are moving or following someone who is, and the 32 degree field of view sweeps a treeline or a lot fast. IP67 sealing and 2 meter drop protection mean weather and a dropped kit do not end the shift. Files come off over USB-C or stream live to the rest of the team through the Scout Pro app on iOS.

Excellent thermal monocular!

I was very excited to receive this thermal monocular, and it didn't disappoint! The box it comes in is very nice and sturdy with a mag-close flap on the front. I was surprised to see that it comes in a black, tactical, MOLLE style pouch (though it is a bit oversized for this monocular) with hook closure rather than noisy clips or velcro. The monocular fits nicely in the hand and has a very easy to reach, small cam-lever that the thumb fits nicely on to adjust the diopter setting. It was around 70% charged when I turned it on and was greeted with the FLIR logo. The brightness is an easy adjustment on top of the monocular with the up/down arrows, and the menus, while a little clunky to navigate at first, are easy to use once you're familiar with the device. There are 9 different color palettes to choose from depending on the environment you're in, so you'll have to see which ones work best

I completely love this, I use this in law enforcement and recommend anyone in law enforcement, emergency service to buy one at least! This product is worth it while searching for people in the woods.

Not too shabby

I got this from BF sale. The refresh rate is bad but within my expectation. This new model has a lot less parasitic battery drain compared to the old TK model I read from reviews.

Love the FLIR Scout Pro TKx , it is wonderful for seeing everything at night in the woods while out caming. Thermal imager can display humans, animals and objects in total darkness or bright light, 90 meter detection range - can detect the heat signature of human-sized objects up to 90 meters away,It's rugged and waterproof, tested to IM-67 diving waterproofing standards！It's perfect for his hunting property or caming and easy to carry around！！

If your wondering if these are worth it?

Came in 2 days and works as advertised

Great little thermal! No zoom, but for camping/backyard use its perfect. We got it mainly to monitor pest issues on the property, but I was even able to pick up a commercial airliner flying across the sky. Within 50 ft it's super clear and still very clear out to 100 yds where you can still easily make out what you're seeing.

Great for the price

I had military-grade FLIR-like thermal imagery in the Military. This is NOT to that level. However, I took it out on a dark night, and you can see images up to about 100 yards. You cannot distinguish much at a distance, but you can see the difference between a human and a small animal. For the money, it's a force multiplier for your go-bag.

Pleasantly surprised!

I was not expecting this to work as well as it does! I had some experience with military FLIR equipment in the last so I know roughly how this stuff works and what kind of images you can expect; from multiple hundreds of thousands of dollars(at the time) vehicle mounted units. I was very happy to find this far less costly little hand held gives very sharp image quality in such a compact package. I was in my back yard being able to make out very small details in the terrain around me. So much so that I could easily navigate the forest behind my house in extreme dark during a moonless night away from any artificial light. It picked up small animals from what I would have thought to be impossible distances. It’s very sensitive, but not invincible. Looking out at the bug zapper on my porch the glass blocked being able to see it. Going out on the porch the zapper, lit alone with no other porc

Multiple uses for this device.

Bought it for MOB tracking on the boat. Has proved useful for home security and for tracking critters in the dark. Also helpful for tracking heat loss in home. Read some reviews about short battery life. Not true, used it several times and it's only down one bar. Been sitting idle for a month now and is still at one bar down. Should be ready to go any time it's needed. Very happy with my purchase.

The thermal imaging monocular is easy to operate and hold. I’m picking up images in the daylight as well as in total darkness. Battery has lots of reserve energy. Pretty neat device, this could be used for safer hunting to verify before you make the shot.

Premium Design & Quality, Good Image Quality, Works Well for My Needs

This thermal device works very well! First off, it feels well made and doesn't feel cheap. It doesn't come with any kind of carry case, but it does have a lens cap, at least. I was a little intimidated by this at first because of all the buttons and controls, but it was quite easy to setup and use. This was my first time ever using a thermal device like this but in the end, it was easy to use and I felt a little silly being intimidated by it to begin with. It does work as it should and it was able to help me identify anything giving off a heat signature. The videos and images this can capture are of nice quality and I really like they include this feature in the device. The battery life is quite good and I've only ever had to charge it once (initial set up). Keep in mind I don't use it everyday or all day either.
