Nantucket Sinks Rectangular Glacierstone Vessel or Undermount Bathroom Sink in White

The Nantucket Sinks Rectangular Glacierstone Vessel or Undermount Bathroom Sink in White comes in 2 versions: 24" or 36" size. Pick your options above to open the exact model, with its own price and details. The details below are for the 24" version.

The Nantucket Sinks NS-GSTR24 is a 24" rectangular Glacierstone bathroom sink in white that installs as a vessel or an undermount. Nantucket fabricates it from a high tech composite for a sleek, contemporary rectangle with a 23" x 14" basin, sized for a single vanity on a 27" cabinet, in a powder room or a modern guest bath.

Glacierstone is a solid composite: the same color runs all the way through the sink. Nantucket calls it lightweight and easy to maintain. The outside is matte and the inside is a high gloss, which seals the surface and makes cleaning easy, and because the material is solid, the spec sheet notes scratches can be sanded or buffed out instead of being permanent. Nantucket also rates it heat resistant to 500°F and describes the material as nonporous, sound absorbing and stain resistant.

The basin is 3.75" deep with angled edges and a low profile. As a vessel, Nantucket says those lines give a sleek, modern look and easy access to the bowl; as an undermount, the sink reads as a transitional, oversized trough. There is no overflow, and the 1.75" drain opening sits toward the rear.

Installing the NS-GSTR Troughs

Nantucket recommends professional installation. As a vessel, its guide calls for a dry fit first, at least 5" behind the sink for a deck faucet, a bead of plumbing silicone under the base and a firm press to bond; as an undermount, the Glacierstone trough guide cuts the counter opening 1" larger than the interior dimension each way, runs a silicone bead and props the sink until it sets. Sealant is not included in either case.

Glacierstone is named for its bright white appearance. Nantucket forms these sinks from a high tech composite with solid color throughout, and it points out the practical difference: unlike a surface glaze, which would need reglazing if chipped, Glacierstone can be sanded and buffed back to a smooth surface. The collection covers the NS-GSTR24 and NS-GSTR36 bathroom troughs and the NS-GSEZA32S single and NS-GSEZA32D double EZApron kitchen sinks.

Caring for Glacierstone

Care for the Glacierstone trough is simple because the material is solid through. Nantucket's Glacierstone care guide suggests wiping it down with a gentle liquid household cleaner, buffing stubborn stains or light scratches with a Scotch-Brite pad and a powder cleanser in a circular motion, and sanding deeper marks with 100 to 150 grit before finishing with a fine grit. Drain cleaners should be rinsed through the outlet rather than left to sit, and the guide says the material is unlikely to mark below 360°F.

The NS-GSTR24 is the Nantucket Sinks 24" Glacierstone bathroom sink for a modern single vanity, a vessel or undermount rectangle with solid color throughout and a repairable surface.

Features

24" Contemporary Rectangle
The NS-GSTR24's 23" x 14" basin gives a wide, shallow washing area on a 24" x 15" footprint that suits single vanities and powder rooms.

Fits a 27" Vanity
Nantucket lists a 27" minimum cabinet for the NS-GSTR24, and at 26 lbs the sink is easy to set as a vessel or to support as an undermount.

Vessel or Undermount
The design installs either as a vessel on top of the counter for a modern look or as an undermount for a transitional trough, so one sink fits two styles of bath.

Solid Color Throughout
Glacierstone is solid material with the same color all the way through, which is why Nantucket's care guide lets scratches be buffed or lightly sanded out.

Gloss Inside, Matte Outside
A high-gloss interior seals the surface for easy cleaning, while the matte exterior gives a soft, stone-like look on the counter.

Repairable Surface
Because the material is solid, the spec sheet notes that scratches can be sanded out, and the care guide describes buffing away stubborn stains, so the sink can be restored rather than replaced.

Low-Profile Angled Edges
At 4.25" tall with angled edges, the basin sits low as a vessel, so reaching in to wash is easy and the counter stays visually clean.

Installation & Care

Installation
This sink can be installed as a vessel on top of the countertop or as an undermount. Nantucket recommends professional installation. As a vessel, the vessel guide calls for a dry fit first, at least 5" behind the sink for a deck-mounted faucet, a bead of plumbing silicone under the base and a firm press to bond; as an undermount, the Glacierstone trough guide cuts the counter opening 1" larger than the interior dimension each way, runs a silicone bead and props the sink until it sets. Sealant is not included. There are no faucet holes, so the faucet mounts on the counter or wall. The 1.75" rear drain opening takes a drain without overflow, sold separately.

Care
Wipe the sink down with a gentle liquid household cleaner. Glacierstone is solid through, so scratches and stubborn stains can be buffed out without damaging the finish, using the buffing kit Nantucket's care guide and spec sheet describe as supplied with the sink, or a 3M Scotch-Brite pad with a powder cleanser such as Comet or Ajax worked in a circular motion. Deeper scratches or small chips can be sanded with 100 to 150 grit and finished with a fine grit and a Scotch-Brite pad. Rinse drain cleaners through the outlet rather than letting them sit. Nantucket says the material is unlikely to mark below 360°F, but do not rest pans straight from the stove on it.

About Nantucket Sinks

Nantucket Sinks is a boutique sink maker based in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, that has designed kitchen and bath sinks for more than two decades. Its range of over 500 products brings together fireclay, stainless steel, granite composite, vitreous china, cast iron and hand-hammered metals sourced from skilled makers in Italy, China and beyond, styled with the charm of the New England coast.

Glacierstone is Nantucket Sinks' solid composite material: the same color runs through the whole sink, the surface is non-porous and stain resistant, and the material absorbs sound. The collection covers EZApron retrofit kitchen sinks in single and double bowl versions and low-profile rectangular bathroom sinks that mount as a vessel or undermount.
